What's one thing a pet parent should know when their pet is going to be getting a vaccine?
Dr. Fox said: It's important to know about possible vaccine reactions or adverse reactions. We never know who will have a reaction or why they got one even though they'd had the vaccine dozens of times. I advise you ask your veterinary care team to make sure you understand what to watch out for!
Can you guess that pet? 🐾 Answer in the comments 👇!
Hint: They make a clownish and fun-loving companion.

What's one thing a pet parent should know when their pet is going to be getting a vaccine?
Dr. Bremer said: Vaccine reactions can still happen to your pet even if they have had the vaccine before. Pet parents should watch for excessive vomiting, diarrhea, facial swelling, labored breathing, or extreme lethargy. One episode of vomiting or diarrhea can be normal but if it does not stop then please give your vet clinic a call!
With heat waves sweeping across the country, blue-green algae is appearing in new areas and posing an increased risk to pets.
Found in lakes, ponds or any source of standing water, it’s extremely toxic and consuming it can be fatal. The best way to prevent accidental poisoning is to keep a close eye on pets when they’re around water.
If you think your pet has been exposed, take them to the nearest emergency veterinary hospital and contact the ASPCA Poison Control at 888-426-4435.

Strictly indoor only cat? Did you know they are still susceptible to fleas, ticks, and heartworms? This is a video from a patient who has only ever been a indoor cat, but has a flea infestation and intestinal parasites. So how did this happen? It can be brought in on our clothes and shoes, other animals can bring them inside such as our dogs, and weather can drive mosquitos insides. Make sure to always keep your animals on preventatives, even if they are indoor only!
