💩 We have a dog p**p mystery!! 💩

A month ago a lady sent our entire neighborhood an angry tirade about someone putting their dog p**p in her trashcan after it had been left on the street after pickup. I didn’t appreciate her tone and suggested some better options to avoid basically yelling at the entire neighborhood.

This trash day I discovered someone left me a weeks worth of dog p**p when I brought my can in. The p**p doesn’t bother me at all. I don’t think this person can imagine the volume of p**p this trashcan encounters on a daily basis when we have a litter of puppies.

The concerning thing is this person’s state of mind. The email was a month ago so they likely have been carefully saving their dog’s p**p every week in the hopes of me leaving my trashcan out long enough after pick up to deposit it all. I bring my trash cans in fairly quickly because I don’t want my neighbors to have to look at them so it’s taking them a month to catch it left out. That’s bizarre right? Also, I never would have noticed it, but I found a piece of litter on the street and dropped it in the can as I was bringing it in.

Do you think I should adjust my doorbell camera settings to record the street next trash pick up to see if we can catch the person in the act for fun? 🧐 Of course that would violate my rule of not messing with crazy.

Jaqweenie had the best gotcha day at ’s tree lighting celebration yesterday!

Our former foster Gracie came to visit. (White fluffy dog) Can you tell she was excited to see me?! We got a surprise from her DNA test. She’s only 4 years old and she’s mostly Chihuahua! We thought Gracie was older and mostly Maltese, but she is 42.3% Chihuahua and only 14.6% Maltese. She’s also 13.6% Rat Terrier & 13.1% Yorkshire Terrier, plus a tiny bit of beagle.

Roxy, the black and white pitbull mix is always so popular at events but she hasn’t gotten any applications yet. She’s about 8 months old and has never met a stranger. She’s LOVES to play with other dogs and is the sweetest, most enthusiastic girl!

Bruno, the puppy in the bag is about 5 1/2 months old and is pretty chill for a puppy. He’s working hard on potty training, which is really his only job at the moment. His foster mom Valerie is wearing an Ol’ A**s Eyes hoodie, which you too can have by visiting our Sharkybobarky Etsy shop.

Vanilla, the beagle mix was such a good girl and is getting so much braver. In hindsight her limit seems to be 6 hours out in public because she got grumpy the last hour and just wanted to sleep. I can’t blame her! Me too girl!

I wish you could see the look of unbridled joy on this kid’s face as his dad unwittingly bought him testicIe socks. I would have told him, but the kids hands were cold and they were going to use them for mittens so they could stay at the event. I couldn’t ask for permission to share the picture because then the dad would have known something was fishy so the child’s face is blurred. Do y’all think mom noticed when he went home?

7 years of serving DerpLord Jaqweenie!!

I adopted Jaqweenie after a dark time in my life. We lost our dog P-Bear and our cat Abra within a few months of each other. After nine months of moping, I started fostering and that’s where I met Jaqweenie. The second to last picture is literally the first moment I laid eyes on him and immediately knew he was my boy. A week later we were able to bring him home.

Jaqweenie started off strong as a true tyrant that first night by hu***ng our foster puppies and then almost biting me over a used tissue. Kirby was horrified, but I couldn’t have been more pleased with my decision.

Jaqweenie had been a stray the first year of his life and couldn’t believe his good luck to be indoors. There was a learning curve because he didn’t know any commands, and wasn’t potty trained, but he made progress quickly. Initially, he was terrified to even go on walks. We recruited a friend’s dog to show him that it was safe, which completely changed his view on walks. It’s incredible how quickly he gained the confidence and dare I say the swagger he’s known for. He is literally a symbol of strength to so many people!

Now he has been on planes, trains, and automobiles. He has been to the beach and the mountains. In short, Jaqweenie has a big life.

If you’re local please come down to the today (Dec. 6) to say tell Jaqweenie Happy 8th Birthday/7th Gotcha Day! We’ll be at ’s booth from 2-8, although Jaqweenie may go home at 6 if he gets cold.

We lost another great this week. RIP .

On this Fabio Friday I wanted to honor Tina so here’s Baby Grandpa with some quinoa on his nose. Baby Grandpa LOVED his homemade meals. So much so that he insisted on being fed lunch too. I still sometimes forget that I don’t have anyone who requires lunch now. 😢 Words can’t express how much I miss my boy. It hurts to share his pictures, but I think it will get easier with time.

Jaqweenie’s gotcha day is this Saturday!! Please come tell him happy birthday at the tree lighting! He’ll be 8 years young.

will be there from 2-8, but if Jaqweenie gets cold he might leave at 6 so come by early to say hello. He’ll be accepting pets, treats, and general admiration.

Whenever we have construction done I put the one of the dogs in this foreman outfit and bring them out to supervise the work. I have yet to reach my target audience, but it endlessly amuses me.

So far not one worker has laughed. In fact their faces remain inscrutable. But someday I just know someone is going to be as tickled as I am!

I dropped Georgie off for her mass removal this morning. I’ll post about it on ’s account. I try not to spam you guys with my fosters too much.

On this Giving Tuesday we ask you to consider supporting Georgie’s medical care.

A little about Georgie:
-3 year old Yorkie Shih Tzu mix formerly named Chika
-has been bred twice in the past year in spite of being Heartworm positive & struggling to breathe
-is the mom of Pickles, our first All Good Dogs foster!
-has an infected mass in her ear. Removal is $527
-needs to see a cardiologist to assess her heart & lung function $1000+
-has a torn ligament that needs repair when she’s healthy enough
-has dry eye and entropion

Let’s talk money! We already raised $500 which covered her first 2 vet visits and testing. Now we need to raise more than $1500 to cover her mass removal and cardiologist appointment.

Georgie’s heartworm treatment, spay and ligament repair will likely be expensive, but we will cross that bridge when we come to it. At this point, she would likely die if we put her under anesthesia.

Please help us get Georgie healthy so she can be the spoiled fur baby she deserves to be. To give you a sense of how little value she had to her owner, after I convinced her to surrender Georgie, rather than asking to say goodbye she asked me to return her leash because it was new. Georgie was bred for profit with zero concern about her life and safety. Now she needs our help.

Working hard on the Puppy Palace! We (Jean & Kirby) are paying for the construction of our foster puppy hotel out of pocket, but we do ask that you keep in mind for Giving Tuesday to fund our new foster Georgie’s medical care.

The Puppy Palace will be about 500 square feet. The main puppy room will have epoxy floors and a drain so we can thoroughly sanitize it. We will also have a bathroom where we can bathe the dogs. There will be a place for a washer & dryer, a fridge for vaccine storage, and we’ll even have a storage loft!

Keeping our large foster puppy litters in a separate building keeps our dogs safe and happy. Have I mentioned our house is only 750 square feet?! We really don’t have room in our house for a litter of puppies! Kirby and I discussed doing an addition to have room for our foster puppies in the house but we ultimately decided it was safer for Jaqweenie and Orson for them not to share the same air. Our fosters are usually sick when they come to us so we want to keep our boys safe.

Having this building will provide us with the perfect, calm place to foster expectant mothers. I’ll even be able to sleep out there when need be!

Every time I get a new foster I think “I’ll do this nice thing for a dog in need” and then I get the dog and it turns out each one is hands down the best dog I’ve ever met and I fall helplessly in love.

That pretty much sums up how I feel about Vanilla and Georgie. They are the sweetest girls alive and just thinking of them warms my heart. Also, when did a get so freaking sappy?!!

I still need to post an update on Georgie’s medical situation, but frankly it’s overwhelming. I was thinking about going into detail on giving Tuesday because I will be asking for money for her medical care, but I can give you a brief summary.

Georgie is quite sick and there is a real possibility she won’t survive. Her heart and lung function are very poor. We hope that is due to her heartworms and is not a permanent condition. She struggles to breathe. Georgie has seen her vet at twice and we have the basis of a game plan, but we need more information. Her heart and lung function are so poor that at this point we don’t think she would survive going under for surgery so we have to remove the mass with light sedation.

She has a cardiologist appointment December 10. Georgie is the sweetest girl and I know you all are rooting for her.
