After years of debate surrounding a mid-level practitioner position, Colorado is leading the charge with a recent ballot measure. If passed on November 5, Colorado Proposition #129 would establish the position of veterinary professional associate (VPA). VPAs would be able to diagnose, prognose, recommend treatment plans, and perform surgery. Many groups, including the AVMA, oppose the initiative, while others, including the Virtual Veterinary Care Association, support it. Where do you stand?: https://bit.ly/3Ybpjne
