How Cindy Lee and Wags and Menace Make a Difference Program Foundation Saved TheraPony Christmas
‘Twas the night before Christmas and all through farm house lots of creatures were stirring: horse, goat, sheep, even pigs in their house.
They heard mom talk about going without since hay prices were up and donations were down.
Though the rescue held on through pandemic and drought it has been tough few years, there is no doubt.
Will St. Nick bring them gifts? That still wasn’t clear. Santa, too, has vet and hay bills for his own pet reindeer.
Not to worry, for Santa has a helper, you see. She helps animal rescues, her name is Cindy A. Lee.
She helps save animals all over the world from horses to monkeys, cheetahs, seals, even sloths.
As I waited for rain and tough weekend ahead, I heard motors rumbling and sprung from my desk.
And what to my wondering eye should appear? Not one but TWO delivery trucks, driven by people, not reindeer.
They were stacked to the brim, one with pellets, one with hay, as the horses all let out a big joyous neigh.
The delivery drivers from Elston’s and Diamond D stacked it all nice and neat and away they would flee.
As the critters were munching, I heard them shout out with glee, “You made a difference, Wags and Menace! Merry Christmas, Cindy Lee!”
Well, it finally happened…. hubby found out how much I spend on animals and cut me off.
Today would be a great day to call in hay and pellet donations as we get ready for the rain this week.
