Tanner moving hungry goats away from their hay filled feeder
Tanner demonstrating her calm power to move hungry goats off of the hay feeders.
Casey helping to feed goats
This is Casey back when she was 16-months-old. She is helping me feed. First she moved the goats to a lock up so I can put the hay down in peace. (I put the hay in the feeder, not shown.) Then, she takes them out of the lock up. The hungry goats have just started to eat when I have her move them off the hold them away from it. Unfortunately, I shut off the video and failed to show that she did hold them so long that they began to give up and move away. I then send her to bring the goats back to the feeder area. This video demonstrates that Casey is a calm, laid back worker with power.
Pickens first time on stock
This was Pickens first time on stock. She is 3 1/2 months here and the kids are 4 months. It took 2min 30 seconds for her to turn on, of which I cut out the first 2 min 15 seconds. Right away she took on the job of keeping the kids grouped. When a kid broke off, she would try to overtake it and turn it back to the group. She can be seen pulling back and taking off the pressure. Soon she had the goats staying in the corner. BTW I did have poles handy in case needed. This started off with camera on tripod, then I picked it up and carried it. These kids are not fetchy so I didn't even try. Next time, if I get another break in the rain, I will put her on fetchy stock.
Red pup socializing at grocery store
Been taking pup out for socialization at grocery store. Set up at entrance next to wagon storage. Lots of people taking out wagons, going in and out of store and some even come over and pet the puppy. Lot attendant kept bring back trains of wagons to the storage area. Just filmed a few snipets of one of our vistis there. We also walk the parkingng lot, going in between cars and let the cars drive by us. We've gone to Kmart and the library too.
Red merle pup walking on lead
This video shows how awesome this male is. At just 10-weeks-old, he is walking on a slack lead, keeping his attention on me, stopping whenever I stop. And all with a relaxed manner.
This is the only pup still available. Red Merle cw male. His temperament is awesome. Watch him explore.
Pups reaction to suspended X-pen tunnel
Watch pups go into tunnel made from X-pen whose bottom is suspended a few inhes off the ground.
bottle curtain
This is the pups first exposure to the bottle curtain. Each bottle has a few marbles in it. The bottles move and make noise. Pups have pretty much no reaction to it. GREAT TEMPERAMENTS! I set it a bit high this time, the following time I set it so bottles were just above ground. Pups passed through it as easily as they did when it was higher.
pups playing in free rolling tunnel
Pups running through free rolling tunnel, which is made from two 5-gallon buckets - their bottoms removed & then taped together. There is also a big round trash can and a wobble board in the kennel to provide big movers in the environment.
pups playing with carton
Spur-Tanner pups playing with carton, It is an unused chinese takeout type carton and had just been given to them.
Playing with pups
Here I kneel down in the open gate of the X-pen and play with the Spur-Tanner puppies. I think they are attracted to me a bit.
I will also go inside and sit down with them.
