There is nothing natural about large numbers of unfamiliar dogs partaking in high-intensity activity in a dog park, and this shouldn’t be the benchmark for a social dog. If your dog is not their best in such an environment, you are not doing anything wrong. 👏👏 There is nothing wrong with your dog. 👏👏 Your dog is normal. 👏👏

🔸️ ATTENTION: APPALACHIAN TRAIL DOG OWNERS & HIKERS 🔸️

Over the weekend, it was reported that a hiker found dog treats stuffed with fishhooks near the George W. Outerbridge shelter on the Appalachian Trail.

The incident occurred near the North Trail Loop leading to the shelter, on State Game Lands #217, in Washington Township, Lehigh County.

Items like these could prove deadly to any animal that consumes them, including wild and domesticated animals.

If anyone has any information about the incident or locates more findings, please call 1-833-PGC-WILD or 1-833-PGC-HUNT immediately.

This little guy … about 5 mths old … escaped from his house and wound up at my Dad’s back door. They don’t have dogs and the conversion quickly turned to my step mom asking what they could use to leash the pup up to walk him back home. Enter DAE Lead to save the day! I made a purse strap out of my leash material just for this occasion. You never know when a dog will get loose and a leash can save a panicked pup from running into the street. (It turns out the strap is just about the best purse strap I’ve had … it’s the only one that stays on my shoulder thanks to the grippy material … no more sliding off my shoulder!). I told everyone to hold on, got my purse, took off the strap and leashed this pup up to walk home. He was a wreak on the leash, pulling and all over the place so I was very grateful the super grip doesn’t pull through my hands. I would have had burns from nylon or leather. He’s a great little guy. Hoping his family gets it together and does better to take care of him. (No judgement, dogs get loose but apparently this guy escapes regularly).
