Hey all! I wanted to remind everyone that we have officially moved to our new location to 3800 Lost Creek Rd NW, Ramsey Indiana 47166!

We still have a long way to go to get it where we want it to be, but we are fully functional as is.

In case you haven't heard of this new pneumonia-like outbreak in dogs, here's a brief video. Please make sure your dogs are healthy and up-to-date on all vaccines before boarding them anywhere over the holidays. Regular vaccines don't necessarily prevent it, but they will be much more susceptible if their immune system is already weakened in any way. It's not in the area yet that I know of, so let's try and keep it that way! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Hello emBARK clients and fans! I hope this finds you all well!

I wanted to give you an update on the progress of emBARK BBB 2.0! We are working diligently preparing the land to receive emBARK and make it better than ever! It's been a long time coming, but we are SO excited to get up and running at our new location.

Our plan as of right now is to be closed for a month starting after fall break, until the start of the Thanksgiving Holiday (October 22nd- November 20th). This keeps all of our fall break reservations at our original location. That period of time from fall break until the Thanksgiving Holiday is traditionally a slow one, so we hope to keep down time and any inconvenience to a minimum.

We appreciate so much the donations we received through our go fund me this far! We are additionally looking into small business loans and fundraisers that will really allow us to step up our game moving forward!

We look forward to watching us grow and experiencing this new chapter with all of you! Please do not hesitate to reach out to myself, Wendy or emBARK with any questions!

Hey there! We are looking for someone who might be interested in working some occasional shifts at emBARK Big Breed Boarding!

Our most immediate need will be to cover a few shifts while we are out of town in July. However, if all goes well, we would continue to use that person at various times moving forward when my assistant Raven has days off.

We need someone very responsible and who LOVES dogs! The job involves supervising puppy playtimes, feedings, cleaning the kennel and the dog yards. Pay will be based on experience.

It's a fun and lovely place to work!

Hey all! Busy season at emBARK is just around the corner! We are booked up for most of June with maybe a few exceptions. So if you are still trying to get in, message or call us ASAP to see if your dates are still available.

Also, a friendly reminder...... Any late cancellations (within 1 week of your reservation) will be subject to a 50% cancellation fee. This is especially true if we have had to turn away business to honor your pups stay. We really appreciate your understanding!

Lastly, we will still be at the Charlestown location at least through June, so no changes there! We will keep you updated on the move as we know more.

I was waiting for the right time to post this. I didn't want to make a big deal of anything, until we knew for certain. But many of you are getting curious based on a couple of my recent posts.

So here it is....Wendy Jean and I are MOVING (if all goes as planned)!!!! And that means that emBARK BBB is moving!!!

But don't panic!!! Several of you have been messaging concerned that emBARK was going away. Not at all. We love emBARK and are very proud of the services and peace of mind we are able to provide to our clients. We would be moving the kennels and business to our new property, which, if all goes well, that property will be off of the Georgetown or Corydon exit off of I-64. It would be roughly the same distance to most all of you, if not closer to some of you. And we will be doing everything we can to prevent or limit any down time of our services.

Several have asked about wanting to go ahead and make reservations on our scheduling software as per usual. Please do! We promise to keep you all updated throughout the process and please feel free to message with questions at any time.

Please bear with us as we enter into this new chapter of our journey. Nothing is set in stone, but the decisions we are making will be so much better in the long run for everyone. We are deeply committed to each of you, and will do everything we can to make this transition as smooth as possible and to keep you loving emBARK!!!❣️❤️🙏

I will post several dogs here who desperately need a foster! Some are already in shelters, others could wind up there if not brought in soon enough.

There's a wide age range and various genders. PLEASE reach out if you can foster! Or, if you know someone interested in fostering or fostering to adopt, have them complete an application ASAP! These dogs NEED US!

LONG POST ALERT!!!! but if you love emBARK, please take a few moments to read:

I want to take a moment to recognize my beautiful wife Wendy Jean, along with someone who came into our lives recently and has literally been a God send.

Some of you know that Wendy Jean and I have been going through a lot for a while now. Among many other things, I've been dealing with some chronic health issues for a long time. They've gotten increasingly worse in the past year. We think we finally have a diagnosis and hopefully a light at the end of the tunnel for that, but it's still going to be a long recovery. 🙏🤞

Despite all of the trials we've gone through since moving back from California, Wendy and I both thought it would be a GREAT idea to open two businesses.....during a pandemic 😂🤷🙄. As my health has gotten worse, it became increasingly obvious that I needed help running the kennel. My amazing wife had been picking up the slack for so long. Coming home after a long day at HER very successful business (bc she is so insanely talented), she often would have to go straight out to the kennel and give everything she had left to your sweet pups. She would do this often so that I could rest, and so that your babies didn't have to suffer any lesser treatment than they deserve. So she's the first person I want to thank from the bottom of my heart.

The second person I want to recognize is my assistant, Raven Blessinger. We had several people interested in the job, but as soon as we met Raven, we knew she was the one for emBARK. She has years and years of experience working with animals and in dog boarding. She's young, but so driven. She gives her absolute best to everything she does.

We essentially threw her into the deep end of the pool and she just ran with it, without skipping a beat. She jumped in and started taking on all the projects that had been postponed due to my health. She is single handedly bringing us up to the level of professionalism on the business side of things that we've been wanting to achieve for a long time.She is a true self starter. And most importantly, she has real integrity.

I love dogs more than anything in the world and I am VERY good with them and treat them like our own when they are with us. But I am very new to running a business. Raven has switched us to a MUCH more user friendly scheduling system (Revelation Pets), that will make things so much easier on our customers, and us as well.

She's working on helping us launch our website. She has totally helped organize the kennel in a much more practical, efficient and aesthetically pleasing way. She's been cleaning the kennel spotless every time she's here and has even been doing yard work in the dog play yards!

She seriously does it all, and with a great attitude and zero complaints. We had gotten so behind on the little things on the buisness side and she's getting us caught up, so that moving forward we will only continue to improve, become a more professional business, and serve you and your babies better and better.

But the most important thing she does so well and up to our high standards, is loving and caring for your babies. She's got a quiet calm to her that fits in perfectly with our attempt to be as fear free of a kennel as possible. She's not one of many words but I can assure you, we are lucky to have her and so are your pups!

I sincerely hope that I am better soon so I can get back to my regular running of the kennel and caring for our pupstomers. It's been really hard bc I want to be there all the time and it's scary letting go of parts of my buisness. It's become my baby. But everything that Raven has done in the meantime, is going to allow me to come back healthy and to an even more successful version of emBARK. Her work on the business side of things will free me up to spend more time hands on with pups.

Thank you all for bearing with us and being patient, while we have attempted to navigate these changes to the best of our ability. We hope to serve you better and better for many many years to come.
