Peaches are a special summer treat that never seem to last long enough. Increase your abundance by planting two or more peach trees in your urban orchard. We have 4 great freestone favorites for your whole family to enjoy. Each variety has a different harvest season, allowing you to have peaches throughout the summer. Typical harvest seasons are: Redhaven (6/28 to 7/10), Arctic Supreme (7/20 to 8/5), Elberta (7/26 to 8/13), O'Henry (8/11 to 8/28) and Snow Giant (8/20 to 9/5). Peaches are rich in vitamins C,A, E and K, potassium, copper and manganese.

Sprouts Farmers Market and Sprouts Community Foundation helped us complete a xeriscape demonstration garden at the farm. Xeriscape gardens are low maintenance and low water use, an ideal style for our region where rainfall can be sparse. We are so grateful for their annual contribution - many hands make light work!

Our Story A Shared Vision of Healthy Food for All

Soil Born Farms Urban Agriculture & Education Project began as a for-profit farm in 2000 by Shawn Harrison and Marco Franciosa, two young and inexperienced organic farmers who had a dream and lots of ambition.

Wanting to reconnect urban dwellers with healthy food and where it is grown, Shawn and Marco put a handwritten note in the mailbox of a local Sacramento resident asking if they could farm on her land in exchange for produce. The next day a deal was struck, and Soil Born Farms was born.
