A frail, 10-year-old Basset Hound named Copper stands on worn-out artificial turf, his head hanging low with exhaustion. His long ears droop heavily, and his cloudy, pleading eyes reflect a lifetime of love given—but never returned. The tight rope leash around his neck only adds to the sorrow of his neglected existence. Copper’s body is weak, his fur faded with time, and he looks as if he has already given up… unless someone saves him now.
