What an incredible few days it has been. Jp and I have been doing Demonstrations at the Nevada County Fair and we still have a few days left.
This fair means the most to me. It’s where I got my start. My very first public Horse training experience was here 10 years ago!
My best Clients who are now dear friends have come from this very week of giving back to my community. I love my NC people and no matter how far I travel and grow this one is dear to me.

In this short video, you’ll see both Megan and Frisco doing their first turn on a circle with Frisco going under La Garrocha pole. It’s really cool to see not only the horse but also the rider doing this for the first time. This weekend, Lisa Calder and I will be teaching a clinic on the intro to Cowboy Dressage and La Garrocha. Megan Frassetto and I had a great time teaching Frisco the La Garrocha pole tonight for this weekend’s clinic. This was actually Megan’s and Frisco’s first time ever with La Garrocha. They both did great and had a great time. The idea is for me to use Frisco in this Sunday’s clinic ‘Intro to Cowboy Dressage and La Garrocha’, but I might have to wrestle Frisco away from Megan. I think she really wants to ride him n the clinic. The cool part about this, it’s not only Frisco’s first time, but it is also Megan’s first time with a La Garrocha pole! For those wondering, Frisco is a really cool Lusitano, that we currently have in for training.
Gold Country Horse Day was Piallette’s first day off the ranch. She started out nervous at first. However, as we started her groundwork she settled in wonderfully!
