West Coast Equine Foundation Supporting educational scholarships, 4-H youth organizations, therapeutic riding programs, youth horsemanship challenges, and humane efforts.
(11)

WCEF supports local youth organizations that promote responsible horsemanship, including 4-H Clubs, therapeutic riding programs, and scholarships for students pursuing equine-related education, such as animal science, horse husbandry, or veterinary medicine. WCEF conducts a Youth Horsemanship Challenge, which is a series that includes riding competitions, and an interview to show horsemanship know

ledge and skills. The youth can compete in both riding and interview or just the interview to earn scholarships. Since 2007, the WCEF has gifted more than $150,000 in scholarships to students pursuing equine related careers. The WCEF's financial support comes from horse shows held at MEC (48 shows this year), MEC's own El Rancho cutting horse shows, proceeds from the MEC-based Cares and Whoas Glamour Ranch boutique, and an annual golf tournament. Donations are gratefully accepted and may be dedicated to scholarships or a specific equine cause. As of 2016, the WCEF is also a partner for the Sacramento International Horse Show, held annually at the Murieta Equestrian Center.

From the highest of highs to the lowest of lows.

We are heartbroken to hear the news of the sudden death of Chromatic BF. Chromatic - you and Jill are an inspiration to us all. A homebred American horse, taking on the world, and rising like the stars you are.

Our hearts are with Jill, Rudy, KC, Pepe, the Branscomb Farms team, and all who worked with, and loved this horse.

The Adkins Family Winery Helicopter Ball Drop.

Thank you to everyone who made this possible.

05/28/2022

We were so lucky to be able to hold our Adkins Family Winery Helicopter Ball Drop today. Despite having 800 balls thrown from the helicopter, we did not get a hole in one.

Instead, we had three closest to the pin winners.

First - Sarah Curtis whose ball was . 5” from the hole
Second - Jeanne Strong - 2 1/8” from the hole
Third - Charlie Falcone - 2 1/4” from the hole

Congratulations to our winners and thank you to everyone who purchased balls - you helped us raise $12,420 for ProjecT R.I.D.E and the WCEF.
