H.E.L.P. is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization providing financial assistance for shelter animals. is dedicated to saving sick, injured and elderly L.A.

City shelter animals - those that remain behind in their cages while others find homes, those with little chance of rescue or adoption. We assist those who choose to adopt these pets in need, knowing that there are medical challenges, by paying an agreed upon percentage of the veterinary costs necessary to care for their new family members. In cases where there is no other option and the dog or ca

t would be euthanized at the shelter, H.E.L.P. rescues the animal and arranges for medical treatment and foster care. We also have an intervention/outreach program which offers guidance and services to the public when they have nowhere else to turn.

Happy Thursday from Chi Chi! Chi Chi is a lovely senior sweetheart who doesn’t see or hear well, but she will surely find her way into your heart. She’s super mellow but has cute little spurts of playful energy. Two of her most favorite things are snuggling and sunbathing, and she enjoys going on life’s little adventures with you. She loves to be pet and will instantly flop over for belly rubs, with her tail wagging a mile a minute. Chi Chi gets along with both cats and dogs, and will make a wonderful little bestie. 🐾

Our darling Francie’s bloodwork has thankfully improved, and we were finally able to do her dental. Francie had six extractions, and we also flushed her tear ducts. Francie is recovering well in her foster home and is the most precious angel. She’s so easy to love. 💕We could use a little help in paying for Francie and Mattise’s dentals this week. Every donation, no matter how small, is greatly appreciated.

Matisse is recovering well after his dental and neuter today. He needed 12 extractions but he’ll be feeling better soon. 🙏 He’s a sweet boy who loves his toys, gets along well with both dogs and cats, and absolutely loves car rides. He also enjoys going on walks, and exploring the neighborhood. We are a little obsessed and know you will be too. 💕

Happy Sunday from Milky Way. If you’re looking for a senior who is easygoing and easy to love, look no further than Milky Way. This dapper little dude is one of the easiest dogs ever. He’s quiet and good-natured, and gets along well with other dogs, cats and kids. His vision is limited but he gets around fine and enjoys leisurely walks and sunbathing. He also loves to nap and is quite the foodie. Milky Way is house-trained, rides nicely in the car and is definitely best friend material. 💕 And did we mention he’s super easy?

Our sweet Pattycakes is so very special! She wants nothing more than to get lots of love and affection. She loves going on exploratory walks (despite her blindness she gets around great) and visits to the park. Pattycakes has a gentle and loving demeanor, and she gets along with everyone she meets, both two-legged and four-legged. She’s a treasure and we adore her. 🩷

Matisse is pure joy! This sweet boy loves his toys, gets along well with both dogs and cats, and absolutely loves car rides. He also enjoys going on walks and exploring the neighborhood. Matisse is getting groomed this afternoon, and is scheduled for his dental and neuter on Monday. We are a little obsessed and know you will be too. Matty will be available for adoption soon. 💕

How adorable is Ollie! Ollie is truly one of the kindest lil’ grandpas we have ever met, he is nothing but gentle and loving. He’s super mellow and as expected he sleeps a lot; he could teach a master class in napping. Ollie weighs 8-lbs and requires a kidney diet and supplement, but other than that he’s in good health. He has so much personality, and we adore him! 💕

Our sweet Chi Chi had a follow-up visit with our vet for reoccurrence of an ear infection. After deep cleaning her left ear, our vet found what appears to be a small red mass deep in the ear canal. We’re not sure what it is but Chi Chi needs to see a specialist. If you would like to donate to Chi Chi’s ongoing medical care, we would so appreciate it. We thank you for your continued support!

We are beyond thrilled to announce that our lovely Bella has been adopted! This was a foster fail that we saw coming from a mile away. Bella has a little senior brother, a kitty sister, and she is so very loved. She is one of the sweetest girls we have ever known so it’s fitting that she will be going to work with her mom as a therapy dog. We are so happy for her! Adopt a senior, adopt love! ❤️
