This boy is Vito. Vito is a very high energy high drive pup. He never stops according to his owners. Vito will redirect when super amped or frustrated. He is dog reactive, counter surfs, and will bark at anything he doesn’t like on TV. The list goes on from there. I am not the first trainer they had come in. They had a trainer come in and just talk about the breed and how to live with a dog like Vito but no hands on. The next trainer just used treats and worked on basic commands.

Together Vito’s owners and I are working on his state of mind. Teaching him to relax and not be reactive to everything. We started last Monday and yesterday, Thursday I got an update that Vito is more relaxed and settled throughout the day!!! I love these updates it means his owners and putting our plan into action. We talked about the root cause of his behavior, what tools will be best for Vito, and we did hands on handling work. I made sure his owners were comfortable and confident with their homework before the lesson was over. I can not wait to see what this team can accomplish.

Meet Gabby. This flat coated retriever just moved here with her owners from the Carolinas. She is excited to get started on off leash training so she can enjoy our lakes and ponds. Back in the Carolina’s they couldn’t let her swim for the fear of alligators would get her.

Look at that focus. Normally Daisy would be going nuts right now as there are dogs everywhere. We utilized the dog park(staying in the parking lot) to work on her reactivity. Daisy gets so excited to see other dogs that she will normally pull and scream. It’s really embarrassing for her mom. We did some drills and worked on focus around the real problem.
