… A big chip in the bladder …

Bladder stones are unfortunately not uncommon in horses and could be causing discomfort, blood in urine and poor performance.

Our team was able to remove this bladder stone today under standing sedation and local analgesia in a Thoroughbred racehorse filly presented for blood in urine after exercise and decreased performance. The stone was manipulated and fractured inside the bladder prior to removal through the va**na.

We wish her a speedy recovery and are thankful for her owner for trusting our surgery services.
