Ok guys ....more newbies! As you can see these kids won't be ready for at least 8 weeks. But... .meet Birdie, Bogey & Bunker! 2 boys & 1 girl. Their Momma did not have enough milk to feed them so they are with the best bottle feeder around, Miss Barb! She's super sweet, purrs VERY LOUDLY, is learning what toys are & she has a very looooooooong meow 🤣. We are estimating she's about 12 weeks old. She won't be ready for a couple weeks but if you are interested in giving Miss Catherine a home please let us know 😻 🐾 ♥️

Why Killing Cats Doesn't Work

For decades, the U.S. has spent millions of dollars on “catch and kill” methods, hoping to reduce the number of community (feral) cats. But science proves this does not work because of something called the Vacuum Effect:
🐾 When cats are removed from an area, new cats quickly move in.
🐾 The breeding cycle continues, and the population rebounds—fast.
🐾 More cats suffer needlessly, while taxpayers fund a failed system.

Not only is this method cruel and ineffective, but it also takes an emotional toll on shelter workers and animal control staff, leading to burnout and high turnover. The proven solution: Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR)

Unlike lethal methods, TNR is humane and effective:
✅ Cats are trapped, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and returned to their outdoor homes.
✅ TNR stabilizes and reduces populations over time.
✅ It prevents suffering and unnecessary killing.
✅ It reduces roaming, spraying and fighting.

Communities that embrace TNR see real, long-term results. Even 84% of Americans support sterilization as the primary method of managing outdoor cats.

We are working tirelessly to bring humane solutions to our community, but we need your support:
💛 Volunteer: We are a small team tackling a huge problem—every extra set of hands makes a difference.
💰 Donate: Our funds are stretched thin; every dollar goes toward saving lives and preventing suffering.
📝 Take Action: Only 78 people have filled out our community cat Google Doc, yet there are over 800 cats needing TNR. If you feed community cats, please fill out the pinned Google Doc!

Recently, we donated a couple hundred dollars to help save two cats who were shot—money that could have been used to spay/neuter multiple cats. This is a human-created problem, and it requires human-driven solutions.

📢 Be part of the solution, not the problem. Support TNR. Support humane change. Support your community. Support us.

Together, we can create a kinder, more compassionate community for both cats and people. 🐱💙

Excuse crazy looking volunteer Ash here 😹 but poor Diana keeps getting looked over and this video shows just how incredibly loving she is despite all she has been through. Please give her a chance 🙏:Princess Diana is still here😻🙏 Diana, the beautiful, loving tabby found starving in an attic this past summer is still in our cat shed. We are just befuddled as to why she has not found a home 🥲 We have done several posts and brought her to quite a few events, but is unfortunately looked over every time. Don't worry about the crazy volunteer cat lady 🤣 but as you can see, Diana loved her anyway and is just being oh so sweet. Hoping this video helps display her loving personality. Despite the cruelty she endured, she still is so kind and is incredibly deserving of her own forever family. If you can open your heart to give her a safe place to land please fill out an adoption application with Mountain Cats TNR or send us a message. ❤️ ❤️

Introducing some new kids that came to us last week. We have the Alvin & the Chipmunks litter....Alvin, Simon, Theodore & Ian! All boys! They have all been neutered with age appropriate vaccines. We are working on their parasite meds now. All are between 4-5 months old. Alvin developed an abscess right after coming in so he's with a medical foster until he heals. Alvin & Theodore are extremely sweet & loving, actively seeking pets. These 2 are blood brothers. Simon & Ian are brothers & are very sweet but are not actively seeking pets yet. A couple are also on antibiotics for slight upper respiratory viruses. These kids should be ready in a couple weeks.

Hey guys & gals! Welp, it's here! The storm of "I have kittens!" & "My females are all pregnant! " calls 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️
So, we've been working our TNR sites non stop. Whether we post it alot or not, 10 cats every single week (and lots of weeks we send in more than 10) go to clinic for surgery. We have taken in 4 older kittens & a litter of 3 kits that are only 1 week old.

With that said , we are extremely low on supplies. Our needs at the moment are adult Purina One chicken flavor, Purina kitten chow in the yellow bag, adult & kitten wet food, powdered formula stage one, piddle pads, bleach wipes, bleach spray, dry treats kitten & adult, churu treats. Our Amazon wishlist is located at the top under the tab "About us".

Any help is greatly appreciated 🙏 😻🐾♥️

Well be here until 3pm 😻🐾♥️
