Last month we only could buy what we raised and thank God for Fleet Farm for donating several Bags of dog and cat food to help us get by.

We are 501c3 Non Profit and we run our rescue 100% on you. We are not funded, non does anyone get paid for all we do for the animals and community. We run 100% on donations, adoptions, microchips, thrift store sales and fund raisers. All our boardmembers help pay into the rescue to keep it going.

Popeye is a border collie mix that is almost 3 months old.

Willow, Sparky, Roman, Star and Rocket are almost 3 month old. Mom is a doberman and dad is a heeler. Picture of mo and dad attached.

🐶 Our Puppy adoption fee comes with all the following:
✔️ They have been examined by our vet.
✔️ Have been tested for Parvo by us and was negative.
✔️ They have been tested for brucellosis and that too was negative.
✔️ They receive three booster shots from Stars Rescue Staff member.
✔️ They will recieve Kennel Cough Vaccine by STARS Rescue Staff member.
✔️ When of age, they will receive a rabies vaccination, by STARS Rescue Vet
✔️ When at 6 months of age they can be fixed by STARS vet, or if you would like to use your vet we will pay $100 towards it and then you paid the balance.
✔️ They will recieve a Microchip at 4 month old by STARS Staff Member
✔️ They come with a APPLE Air Tag GPS tracking device.
✔️ They also come with a puppy packet that includes a blanket,
✔️ Some of their puppy food
✔️ Some puppy toys
✔️ A teething toy
✔️ A busy bone to help with kennel training ✔️ A Tennis Ball to help teach them fetch.

STARS No Kill Rescue do require the following in order to adopt from us.

✅️ You need to fill out a application.
✅️ We need to have a vet reference. This means we will call your vet and ask them several questions to see if you are a responsible pet owner.
✅️ We need to talk to your landlord. We need to verify proof that you are allowed to have a pet.
✅️ A home check is required. We do get pretty busy and will accept a video of your home inside and the yard.

We are looking for a new volunteer to help us with the new website design and to post all our animals up for adoptions. If someone is willing to design the new website but not keep it current that will be fine too.

If anyone would like to volunteer to help us once a week keep the website current this would be wonderful. This would be removing rescues that have been adopted, adding new ones and update events.

✔️ So please give suggestions on any easy user friendly websites designs and the cost if you know it.

She needs another dog to play with to burn off all the high energy she has. She is litter box trained, She is great with cats, dog and kids.

****Update- Valor is doing good and recovering but unfortunately will need another surgery on his leg. They were able to remove part of the foot that was bad. They scheduled Valor to have the rest of his leg amputated on March 14th. We thought they were able to have the time to do the amputation on Wednesday. But it was to see how bad things were and then to schedule surgery. Valor was in serious injuried and they were able to remove the bad part of the foot only with the time they had. Please keep praying for Valor for Friday surgery. Thank you ****

****Update- we are waiting to hear from the vet about how it all went today. Valor is recovering at his foster home. But we were told he may need another surgery. We will update when the vet calls. Thank you again everyone.*****

🙏 Prayers needed for Valor the cat that was trapped with a snare trap and dragged it for over a mile looking for help.

Valor is currently at the vet having his leg amputated. He was not able to put weight on it and he had it infected to bad from dragging the trap. So the vet said it needs to be amputated.

Thank you to everyone that has donated. His surgery is going to be around $1,000. We have raised $1005 so far. Thank you everyone. 💗

🚶‍♀️ 🐕 Volunteers Needed! We are going to start bringing our long term residence to our store front on Mondays. We are looking for volunteers to give them some time to go for a walk, a ride in the vehicle, a trip to the drive thru for a pup cup, maybe shopping at petco for a toy and treat even. Then maybe some time to relax at your home or at a park. Our rescue animals need to have more action in their life and a better chance to find a their home.

This Monday I, Michelle Brock will be bringing Lucy and Kayna also known a Candi. We are in need of 2 volunteers to help give Lucy and Candi a half a day adventure out.🚶‍♂️ 🐕

Location: 2120 W Main St Suite 2 Rapid City

Lucy is the Saint Bernard and is 3 years old. She is great with people and kids, but not with cats or other dogs. She is great with Candi.
Candi is a sheperd mix 4 years old. She was badly abused and is best with women. She is shy at first but once she receives treats she will love you. She is not good with cats and picks her doggie friends.
Please message us if you would like to volunteer to give Lucy or Candi a day out.

🚗 You can come to our store front any time after 1pm and bring them back before 4pm. They will be wearing a Adopt Me Bandana to let everyone know they are up for adoption. They will have a collar and harness plus a leash along with a GPS Air Tag and our business cards.

Gabriel Brown Tabby-Tail is coming home to his Mum in Rapid City a bit earlier than previously planned because his Mum's best friend who was going to keep him until his & Marie's Tiny Home is built, fell & broke 5 ribs. Their house is being built when spring breaks. Until then, Marie can pay a monthly $100 per month foster fee and provide all food, litter & if they live nearby in Rapid City, can change the litter daily. He will be arriving in town Monday March 3rd, 2024.

⭐️ STARS Rescue currently has 22 rabbits up for adoption and 21 of them are seeking a foster home.

🐰 Rabbits can make amazing companions. They can be trained to do tricks or come to their name. They can easily be litter box trained and free roam around your house just like the typical cat. Rabbits are known to be affectionate to their owners, though they don’t like to be held, they still love a good head scratch and to be around their people. Rabbits are also typically quieter pets.

🏡 Can you help foster one of our rabbits or a bonded pair?
✅ All our rabbits over 6 months old are fixed to help with litter box training, over population of rabbits, and to keep them from developing cancer.
✅ Most of our rabbits are litter box trained or working on being litter box trained.
✅ We will supply you with all the supplies you will need.
✅ We are available to answer any questions or offer advice.
✅ If you can only foster for a short time that’s fine with us! As long as you let us know in advance, we will happily take the animal back.
✅ Foster’s always get first pick in adopting the animal.

Friday February 28th STARS will be at Petco from 2pm to 5:30pm Only. We will have all these beautiful animals in need of homes.

Then Saturday several of the puppies and cats at our Store Front from 9 to 2pm at 2120 W Main St Suite 2 Rapid City.

We have 6 puppies from the Firecracker group. These puppies were born on 12-8-24
Mom was a Doberman mix and dad was a heeler. Picture added. Mom and Dad are not up for sale.

🐕 The Firecracker group is very energetic, loves to run and play. They all seem to have the same personality. They are a rambunctious group of puppies. This is why they are the firecracker 🧨 group. Theses puppies are almost completely liter boxed trained.

Then we have Popeye he is 10 weeks old border collie that needs another dog as a best friend. He too has a lot of energy and needs room to run. He is also very smart and liter boxed trained.

Then we have Max the cat. He is a love and cuddle boy. 3 years old and very handsome.

🐱 He is slowly learning to trust people again. Thank you, Melissa, for working with him. Unfortunately, he isn’t putting weight on his foot like he should be so he is going back to the vet to see how much of his foot will need to be amputated. We will keep you updated after his vet visit.

Sit and be petted. Chew on buffalo horns and Kongs. Walks on the leash. Run in a fenced yard.

**** New Update- the cat was taken to the emergency vet. Unfortunately when he was at the emergency clinic of Rapid City the cat ran away when the door opened.
A place for Meow is setting traps and have been looking all around the area. I will be going up to Rapid today to fly our drone to help look for the kitty. Please pray the cat is still alive and will be found to get it the help it needs.

⚠️ 💸 🐈 Save Them All Rescue Services is offering a $$$$$$ REWARD for the name of the person that slammed on there brakes by the hospital in Rapid City and threw a cat out there window into on coming traffic. The eye witness was behind them. Unfortunately the cat was hit by a car. Because of this helpless, heartless, careless, cold hearted person, the cat was seriously injuried!!!!!! 💸 ⚠️ 🐈

People stopped and a gentleman was able to catch the cat, that was badly injuried and put it in his vehicle. We hope the cat is OK and would like to know if he or she made it.

This is not acceptable, to do to any animal. I, Michelle Brock am putting up the reward myself, for the name of the person that did this animal cruelty act. We want Justice for this cat!!!!!!

I wish we could do what this person did to the cat to them. I am so upset over this and wish all mean people would have kind hearts instead of mean and heartless ones.

🐕 Hello wonderful supportters. STARS No Kill Rescue is looking to see if anyone could help us with setting up and breaking down at our adoption events on Saturday.

🐇 This Saturday we had brought alot more animals then we normally do and had an incredible turn out. We would love to do this every Saturday.
But due to me, Michelle Brock I have to
* take care of the rescue animals,
* load up everyone up,
* hook the trailer up,
* then drive an hour to Rapid,
* pull over for puppies to potty,
* then go to our store front,
* get more animals,
* more items for the event,
* then go to he event,
* set up while the animals stay in the vehicle until we are ready for them.
* Then load everything back up,
* drive an hour to Hot Springs,
* unload the animals,
* care for the rescue animals again
* then go to work the over night shift.

🐈 We are looking for someone that is willing to volunteer on a Saturday to set up everything before we arrive with the animals. This encludes, setting the table up, setting the puppy pen up, and setting all the cages up . Then come back to take it all down and load it all back up in the enclosed trailer.

🌟 If you can do this, you will need a vehicle that can tow a small enclosed trailer. We have a place to store the trailer if you do not have the room .

This will helpTiffany and I out so much. Plus we can get more adoptions done and not miss anyone because we are still setting things up.

We like to have someone to set up at 1pm on Saturday and then be available at 6 for tear down.

We are looking for volunteers to help watch the animals so no one will take them or open the kennel up and to help walk them, hand out our business cards and help answer any questions people may have.

The Breakfast Club puppies are Hollywood's babies. She had 12, and we are still in need of 6 🏡 homes. They may be sheperd breed and some Chow. Mom, we are not sure her breed. All the puppies are socialized and love other cats, dogs, and kids. Izzy has 2 beautiful puppies left out of 8. She is a wire hair Terrier, Reo is a lot like her mom. Prince Eric is a border collie with wire hair, so he and Reo do not shed as much. They do still shed. They will be a good size dog, mom is 60 pounds. They are 4 months old. All our puppies are litter box trained, and we have been working on them all going potty outside. Please DO NOT SURRENDER YOUR OLD DOG THIS YEAR TO GET A PUPPY!!!!! YOU ARE TEACHING YOUR KIDS WRONG WAY TO CARE FOR A PET. A pet is forever and until the end. Puppies learn so much from other dogs that it makes puppy training easier. *** Update- Dave's celebration of life will be on Saturday Nov 23rd at the Best Western Ramkota Inn Rapid City, SD from 2 pm to 5 pm.**** 😭 Rest in peace, Dave✌️ ☮️ I am so heartbroken to do this post. Wednesday, I ( Michelle Brock) texted Deb and Dave to see if they made it OK to Hawaii. Unfortunately, they never made it because Dave heart stopped and had to be rushed to the hospital. I went up to see Deb and Dave for a couple of days while in the hospital. He passed away yesterday. I have been crying since Wednesday. It was so hard for me yesterday to do our adoption event. I want to thank everyone for understanding that I am not myselff. Dave and Deb have been angels for the rescue and me personally for over 10 years. They were not only incredible supportters but also friends. So many time, I wanted to throw the towel, but because of their dedication, loyalty, and hard work, I kept going. Every month, they would come down to help deep clean the rescue. Plus, they bring $300 worth in donations to our rescue. Poor Dave had the worst job to do. Wash the dishes. This included outside in the freezing cold and wind. I would hall the 5 gals of hot water to him. Dave and I would go to lunch together and have interesting conversations. This was 1 of my favorite times of the day. Every month, having Deb and Dave come to help was my therapy. Deb and Dave have been together for 51 years. Please pray for Deb and the family to get through this terrible loss. Dave and Deb did everything together, even walking their dog together ❤️. Dave, I can not believe this. You were a true angel. I keep crying for you, and then I cry harder for Deb being without you. Please help us all look after her, Dian, Mattie, Guy, and Gracie. You were loved more than you even knew. 🐕 So as many of you know. I broke my ankle a month ago. Things have been extremely hard on me to accept and it's not been easy to care for the animals on the days I don't have my Friend Kayla and her son to help. 🐶 So I am tring to find ways to make things easier for me. As you can see in this video, it is very hard for my to use my scooter because of the gravel. I use this scooter at the rescue because the tires are a little better then the other one I have. I have a dog leash tied around my waist to the wagon. At the end of the video you will see how far the dumpster is. A simple task as taking out the trash is now a long and hard process for me. I am desperately in need of help and I am asking if anyone may have rubber horse Matt's that they do not need anymore. If so I would like to place them from my house to the rescue and to the dogs pens to help me get around easier. To the trash would be awesome too. I have to lift my scooter to go anywhere at the rescue and it makes it so hard to get stuff done. I would buy the rubber Matt's but they are now $35 to $45 for just 1. Because I am not able to work I have no paychecks for months. I am currently selling my personal belongings to get by. If anyone has some rubber orse Matt's for cheap and willing to do trade for anything I am selling for them, I would be so happy and greatful to you. Please message me at 605 515 3364. Stars No-Kill Rescue

STARS is about responsible pet parenting. We want to assist pet owners to be able to afford basic care for their dog or cat. We provide inexpensive services to assist with pet owners who have big hearts but not so much big pockets. Also, we are raising funds to get a facility to rescue. Our focus will be in Custer County, but we are able to assist anyone in and around the Black Hills.

Stars provide a Low Cost Micro-Chip Your pet for only $25 to help keep pets out of the shelters and to help keep them reunited back to their family.

Stars provides a volunteer service for Animals Search and Rescue.

Stars is working on the over population of Feral Cats with a Mobile Spay and Neuter Clinic.
