Our Story

At Safe Haven Pet Resort, we treat your pets as if they were our own, welcoming them into their home away from home as family. After being disappointed with the boarding options she found for her baby, our founder, Melissa, decided to create a place of her own, where her dog and others could receive the care they deserved, because they don't have a voice. Thirteen years later, we've grown into a full-scale destination for Rapid City's pets, with daycare, boarding, and grooming services as well as waste removal at your home. Caring for every dog we meet with kindness, confidence, and experience comes naturally, because here, everyone's family.
