The horse is an amazing animal. From the wild mustang to the well-trained show horse they have uniqueness, a spirit if you will, that is unencumbered by time. As passionate horse owners, we want to understand the mind of the horse and keep the spirit intact. This takes time and a willingness to observe yet not intrude. Watch how the horse acts with other horses, with people, or alone. You will learn a lot. As Plato once said- “You can discover more about a person in an hour of play than a year of conversation.” The same is true for the horse.
Our team of lifetime horse lovers, owners, trainers, therapists, and medical professionals have a true passion for learning about the horse. No one horse is alike and we respect that. We honor the horse as it is. Yet we seek to understand and teach the horse. Those things together are what make us unique. We approach the horse in a holistic manner working with the horse as a whole; mind, body, and spirit.
Western dressage offers us an opportunity to work with any breed of horse providing training that helps the horse use natural abilities. We work with the horse and rider at their pace. We do an in-depth evaluati0n of the horse, the rider, and the team they present. We work at many levels to inspire and motivate both the horse and the rider to excel at just being. Western dressage has its core values in enjoying the horse and what they have to offer. We believe in that core value. We feel it is an honor to work with these magnificent animals and we want to share that with you.
