Last night I took a recipe from the NYT and a Cesar salad mix from Aldi, and made this... it's a filet of salmon, coated with a 50/50 mix of Cesar dressing and grated parmasan cheese, plus more cheese, then broiled. I made homemade croutons, then forgot to add them so they doubled as a midnight snack. I also added sliced red onions to the salad and two cloves of crushed garlic to the dressing. I did remove the skin and gift in to my itchy Brittany:) I paired my salad with a glass of chilled white wine and a fire in the fireplace!

I suspect that cats carry a virus on them that infects humans to make us forget all the lifetime lessons we've learned about felines... that's the ONLY reason I can find to explain went I might keep acquiring them. If I hadn't been sitting right here, this planter disaster would have 100% been blamed on the dogs because I had it well secured. But a 2.5 lb kitten did this by propelling it's self of the top level with a shocking amount of force. See also her work ethic (granted, no mice have been spotted in her preferred napping locations, so I'm sure she would like credit for that). Meanwhile, her mother is still a hard working mouser, who is friendly, but still spends plenty of time outside dealing with the rats, mice, and chipmunks who live only to get into the livestock feed.
