Houdini is a sweet young 7 month old boy who is small in size at 38 pounds. He is very well mannered and calm for a puppy. He has potential in any home. We are open until 3 today.

September 28th is the T-shirt deadline for the Barktober 5k run and 1 mile walk on October 12th. You can still register after the 28th but won't be guaranteed a race shirt.
This event is always a good time, especially the pet costume contest and the fall photos with your pet. This year we'll also have the Weiner Guy and he's even offering some vegetarian items. There will be yummy treats (hot cocoa, cookies, popcorn etc.), APL merchandise, raffle baskets and other fun ways to spend some cash and help animals in need.
We hope to see you there and can't wait to see the creative costumes!

**Tad is adopted
Meacham and Tad were surrendered by their owner no fault of their own. These two brothers are 4 years old but do well separated from each other. They are super sweet and well behaved boys who just want to be with people. We open today at 11 if you’d like to come and meet them.

This pretty girl has reached a year at the shelter. We’ve shared her story before but want to highlight her again. Meet Serenity. She was seen hit by a car a year ago. Fortunately, there were no long lasting or serious injuries. She didn’t adjust well to life at the shelter so she spent a considerable amount of time in foster where she was allowed to decompress. She does take quite a bit of time ( and Churus) to warm up but eventually she learns to trust and love. She prefers her feet on the ground and does not like to be picked up or held. She is fearful in new environments and will need time to adjust. A quiet low key home would be her ideal living situation. She gets excited when she sees other kittens and has potential with cats but will need a cat friend okay with no personal space. She’s very forward when she’s around other cats. She loves lounging and bird watching.

Let's make today a LUCKY DAY for some of our awesome and amazing felines!!!
Saturday is Happy Cat Month. Our adoption fees have been reduced (lucky for you) so that our cats can get great new homes (lucky for them!) We're open today until 4 pm and tomorrow 11-3!
We'll be waiting for you with open paws!!

Update: went to foster

This cute little guy was surrendered yesterday due to no fault of his own and in need of a desperate grooming! Thankfully we got ahold of a groomer who just so happened to say bring him on over. Meet Watson he is 8 years old and is very shy but will make a great companion for someone who is patient and has no small kids in the home as he gets scared easily and has not been around them.
