All very helpful advice.
There is no way around reliable training. You can't always beat your dog's built in motivation, especially when you're not present! We aid in this type of training and counseling to help you develop healthier habits with your dog.

It’s that time again, second fear period has officially hit 🫠 during this time I’m extra careful about what we do and don’t do! Not putting him into positions where it could be detrimental.

During the 6-12 month mark is a very common time for a lot of dog owners to desex dogs and take their dogs to off lead dog parks!
This is why so many dogs become fearful into their later years and a lot can remain that way! Hormones are a very important part of development, and placing your dog into sh*tty situations while there are hormone fluctuations is extremely unfair to your dog!

It’s important to remember fear periods are normal! Some dogs are worse than others during this time! It’s all about how you as the owner handle your dog and navigate them through this tough time.

So proud of our AKC STAR Puppy graduates! We have Tilly going on to be a career bird dog, Luna going on to be a personal service dog, and Atlas going on to be a personal service dog. Atlas and Luna enrolled into our CGC program and will be pursuing further training as far as they can go in the AKC Family Dog program. If you're interested in these programs we are still continuing one on one training for our loyal customers!

Looking for a cheat code to your dog's ears? Are they always funky, gunky, nasty? If you care and want to change this for your dog, read this! ⬇️
- Primarily despite using cleaners I have found the most effective for getting rid of bad ears is a better diet. *** No grains, chicken products, fillers (speak with your vet about this)
- If you've done this and just need to clean up the mess, Epiklean is a great way to keep your dog's ears clean dry and fresh! Put some gloves on, put gauze or paper towel on the end of your finger, saturate it and give it a nice clean. Avoid going too deep in the ear canal.
We use on our Doberman and Basset Hound customers. It really works!

No correction, just engagement 💎 Before coming to Neutral K9, Jaymee was embarrassed of her sweet Millie because she really attracted all the attention with her screams! We focused on engagement with the handler. As a side effect, the Frenchie scream subsided. This is the second session. Weighing in on using a dominance collar, I really never anticipated using it for a French Bulldog however flat collars and harnesses allowed for the dog to practice the wrong behavior and frustrated the handler. She has practiced being reactive for so long that treats and toys didn't work. As a restart and new learning tool, I use the dominance collar to teach both handler and dog to be more calm, sensitive, and not be so hard on eachother. It was harmonious. #dogtraining #positivereinforcement #balancedtraining

Working pet dogs. I'm getting fat again 🤣😂

Just a reminder working the dog in front of you is key! If this were another dog we may consider a different type of training but because our bond and how I know this dog this is what we're coming up with on the start. The conflict needs to be identified in every situation. I learned about conflict through my research in bird dog training. 🤣 Dog training is hard. This is still so messy too. But will get better. Smh!! Enjoy my PJS 🤣

Timber did some training with us the other day for trial working on that loose leash walk and cues! Getting Timber in a good headspace really helps with his training! After we let him sniff around, play with Blondie, and go on an enrichment walk this was the boy we got! Happy and tired, we walked around the property in my tiger crewneck 🤣
