Abbi came in today with a front leg limp that happened four days ago as she was hurrying to grab a toy on the ground. After a chiropractic exam with adjustment to a first rib and her lower neck, the lameness resolved! See first comment for the after video! Also note the difference in facial expressions.
Thanks to Freeman Animal Clinic for referring Bruno for acupuncture. We saw him initially five days ago. He was unable to stand or walk at that time though he could feel if we pinched his toes. He has IVDD, or intervertebral disc disease. Thanks to his regular vet taking such prompt initiative to maximize care, we were able to start his treatment within only a couple of days of his initial disc rupture. The first video is today just before his second acupuncture treatment, the second in the comments is just after. We have prescribed physical therapy exercises to do at home and expect he may only need one or two more acupuncture treatments. We also recommend chiropractic several times a year for this breed to try to prevent further pressure on his discs .
Intervertebral disc disease CAN be treated! Whole Health Pet Center does it all the time! This patient was completely paralyzed for 3 weeks before coming to us. This is after 7 treatments that include chiropractic, acupuncture, homeopathy, supplements, and lots of physical therapy at home. We make no guarantees, but progress is exciting!
Wilson is never really sure he wants to receive chiropractic when he comes in. He's a little unsure about all that hugging by someone in a doctor's coat. But, afterward, he's glad he came!
