So cute!

These 6 month old kittens, Isla and Adam, from Tortola have been in our Wellesley, Massachusetts shelter way too long. Personally I can't imagine anything better than two tabbies, one orange and one brown. They are really sweet and well socialized. If we don't get an adoption application soon, we will have to break up this bonded pair. Please share. Thanks! 🐾🐾🐾💞💞

It’s almost time!!! These adorable kittens and their sweet mama need homes soon. If interested please email [email protected] with the subject line “Adoption” and I will send you more information and an adoption application. (I will not be able to answer questions posted here.)

The two orange ones are male and the other two are female. They are approximately 8 weeks old and I’m hoping to get them into new homes around 9-12 weeks old.

Mama will need to be spayed before she is adopted. She is very shy but sweet. She was a feral cat and will take time to adjust to a new home. If there is no interest, she may ultimately be released back to her colony after she is spayed.

Happy Mother’s Day!

Two weeks ago I took in this feral mom and her kittens that my client and neighbor were so kindly caring for. They are thriving and eventually mom will be spayed and everyone will need homes. Stay tuned!

It is that time of year that the panicked calls and emails come in. These marks on your dogs are likely black fly bites. We do not typically see bullseye marks with Lyme disease in dogs. Sometimes black fly bites can be itchy but, more often than not, they do not bother your dog at all.

As always, please reach out to your vet with any concerns but know that black fly bites are very common right now.

💥BIRDIE is looking for a foster home by this WEDNESDAY! 💥

This sweet girl is a Puerto Rico rescue pup that is about three years old, and 14 pounds. She does fantastic with children and is incredibly snuggly! All she wants is love, and has so much love to give ❤️ She’s the sweetest little lady. Birdie is very well-behaved, crate trained, and house broken.

She is unpredictable with domaniant female dogs. We are unsure how she does with male dogs, however would thrive most as an ONLY dog household. 🐶 She will be an incredible companion to the right family! ❤️

“I am reaching out because I know you have access to a huge cat platform and are a great advocate. Just before Xmas my 80 year old mother had a little kitty come to her back door and she began feeding her. She took her in took her to the vet, got her shots etc. My mother has now taken a turn medically and cannot keep the kitty. I DO NOT want to put the kitty in a shelter but as you know I can't take her I'm looking for some advice or if you know someone. She hasn't been spayed yet but Mom took her to vet, paid like 400. 00 for all her labs etc she's really sweet if you know anyone or have any suggestions can you let me know.?”

I saw many of your beautifully decorated trees over the last few weeks of house calls. I thought I’d give you a glimpse of mine. 🎄

Every year it feels like the holidays come and go even faster. I am taking some time to relax today and tomorrow and appreciate spending time with my loved ones (both the two-legged and four-legged varieties!). 🐾🐾

Good article on the “mystery” respiratory illness in dogs for those of you with questions and concerns.

Bottom line:
1. Please don’t panic!
2. Keep your dogs up to date on vaccines.
3. Contact your vet if any coughing or respiratory signs develop.

Reports of an "outbreak" of some as yet unidentified canine respiratory illness are scaring dog owners. But veterinarians and researchers aren't panicking.

This adorable kitten needs a home. He was recently captured from outdoors by a wonderful client that has been helping with a feral cat population near her home. Approx 5 mos old. (I haven’t examined him yet)

Happy Spring! Thank you to all our loyal clients and for your continued referrals to your family, friends and neighbors.

A few important announcements:

1) We will be closed May 31 at 6 pm and reopening June 6 at 9 am.

There will be a voicemail message reminding you of the closure and an auto reply for email. All messages will be reviewed after 9 am on June 6.

2) We are no longer able to monitor or reply to messages received by text. Effective immediately. A phone call is always best!

3) Kindly request Rx refills (at least) 5-7 days before you need them.

4) Lastly, please remember we are closed Saturdays and Sundays other than prearranged appointments.

This kitty is Sanja. She is a 4 year old female Siamese. She is in need of a new home after the death of her owner.

She is not a patient of mine but recently got a clean bill of health from her vet. She may be quite nervous and may need a home without small children.
