Aces Sanctuary & Cat Rescue To help them receive proper veterinary care and find their fur-ever homes! Adoption fees vary, but are typically $150 for kittens under 9 mos.

Ace's Sanctuary and Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization, here to serve the homeless cat and kitten population around Lawson/Kearney/Excelsior Springs, Missouri. That includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccines, dewormer, goodie bag to include a sample of the food they're eating, and Feline Leukemia/FIV test. 🧡🧡 Audrey update 🧡🧡

She wishes everyone a happy cuddle puddle Caturday!! She’s hoping to find a cuddle puddle of her own!

She has started to accept the other cats here, so we’ve given her some play time in the Sanctuary Cat room - she found herself a comfy spot and took a nap! Paying no attention to anyone but me! I have been working hard to get her brushed out - she spent quite a bit of time alone without someone to brush her. I can see her sadness in her eyes (I’m sure she’s still grieving the loss of her home and owner), but she’s definitely not as sad knowing she has someone to love on her everyday!

She would be so happy to have someone willing to snuggle with her and brush her daily. She does prefer her soft food and she loves to talk to anyone that will listen!! If you know anyone who may be interested in loving this senior gal- please message us!!

🐾 FOSTER WIN ANNOUNCEMENT 🐾

When we took Dexter Morgan and his “Serial
Killer” siblings in- they were feral trapped babies with BIG attitudes. Our foster Amira, was up for the challenge of taming them, she did such an amazing job- and instantly fell in love with Dexter. He apparently he wiggled his way into everyone’s heart and paws in the home, so we have made it official!

This magnificent floof is Chanel.

—> She is A LOT to handle (do not underestimate her… she does not settle for anything less than purrfection).

—> She is “classy” and demands her human subject meets her standards.

—> She demands your attention, but she will also let you know if you are not worthy of it!

—> You will need to learn her “okay to pet zones” vs her “don’t pet me there zones”. They change daily.

We love her around here, but she is ready to find the home she deserves, one she can be the one Ruler! She would do best in an only cat home and without small children that are still learning about boundaries (as she has many). She does great with my kids and is very food motivated. It is unlikely that she would tolerate a dog, as all other species are below her!

Andy is our longest resident with February marking one year with us. We sure don’t mind having him, he is an absolutely purrfect boy. Andy is a laidback chonky fella who gets along with everyone he’s ever met. There’s absolutely no drama with this guy. He could spend all day on your lap. Andy really enjoys watching cat tv- the birds are his favorite! When he’s feeling playful the laser is his go to. He gets along with other cats, does great with kids and adjusted well to every change we’ve thrown his way. We sure would love to see this special guy in his own home. 3 yrs old, fully vetted and patiently waiting for his happy ending.

Trixie is as sweet as she is beautiful! Cuddles, biscuits and purrs all day. All she wants is to be with her people. She’s been such a good girl from the moment she arrived. Aladdin is the BEST boy! This guy is so adaptable and friendly with everyone! To meet him is to fall in love. He is a very present cat. He follows you around, talks and gives great cuddles. Aladdin enjoys playtime so he needs lots of toys to keep him busy but sitting on your lap watching tv together makes him just as happy! Come meet Aladdin in the Kearney playroom so you can see for yourself what a great guy he is!

This is Tempurra!

She is just over a year old, fully vetted, and she’s ready to find her forever home! Tempurra is the kindest, most gentle soul! She can be timid at first, but once you earn her trust, you’ll have a friend for life. She loves a good head scratch and a warm, soft blanket to snuggle in. She is really good with other cats and would do well in a home with another cat in need of a friend!

Heathers story continues with the exciting news that she’s officially available for adoption again! Heather was originally an emergency intake as a declawed cat that was going to be released outdoors without immediate placement. Her anxiety was extremely high and she does not care for other cats. She spent a lot of time with us learning to trust again while we learned about her specific needs. We were very hopeful with her first adopters but unfortunately the home ended up not being the right fit with Heathers anxiety increasing and the development of frequent urinary tract infections. Urinary issues are common with declawed cats for a number of reasons. We explored possible medical causes for the frequent UTIs and at this time we’re pretty certain they are stress induced. The right environment with a prescription diet is the key. We have managed to meet her needs and they haven’t returned. It’s going to take a special person and home to take on a cat with her specific needs but we are so hopeful that her happy ending is out there. She is such a character of a gal with so much love and life. Her favorite things are talking your ear off and being brushed. Heather deserves a loving home and her very own human. She would love to meet anyone willing to try and she’s sure to convince you to take her home!

Isabella is a LOT of kitty in a small package. This girl is full of personality and quirk! She is so loving but her love can get aggressive with nips, grabbing and attention seeking. She is a bit demanding and dominant but such a fun and sassy cat! Even though she’s a year old she is still very much a kitten who loves toys and zooming about! Fully vetted microchipped and searching for her happy ending.

It’s always special when one of our adults find their happy ending! The Sapp family suffered a recent loss of their beloved fur baby. They have so much love to give and it was a pleasure helping make this match! Feyre is off with her new family and we are already receiving updates that she’s doing well!

Penelope started as a very shy but friendly kitty who flinched when you tried to pet her. I’m sure she was terrified and confused after her previous owners dumped her combined with all the trauma of being trapped and making her way to us. Penelope is a new cat! She follows you around the room rubbing on your leg and talking non stop! She is full of love and wants to tell you all about her rescue journey. It’s amazing what patience and love can do! Penelope wants to try again at her shot with her very own humans to talk to and love on. 2 yrs young, fully vetted and microchipped!

Meet Audrey. Her owner went to assisted living and she found herself without anyone to take care of her. We agreed to give her a safe place to stay with plenty of love and hopefully find her a permanent foster home to spend her remaining years. Audrey is an 18yr old spayed female that we are still getting to know. Once we can judge more of her personality, we can find her the purrfect placement.

Remember we offer a “Seniors for Seniors” foster program. If you know a Senior citizen in your life that could benefit from having a cat to love (and the rescue will continue to help with any vet bills and costs as needed) please reach out!!

Mink is all the cuteness you’d expect from a 4mo old kitten! She’s sweet, cuddly and playful with just enough sass! She can get pretty silly with toys and zoomies all over the playroom but when it’s time to rest she would prefer a lap or the very top of the tower. Fully vetted, microchipped and waiting for you! Set up a meeting with Mink in our Kearney playroom with an approved application!

Oh, Mr O’Malley is such a talker! He was telling me how I was 30min late this morning with his chin rubs! He wasn’t wrong and I promised extra chin rubs as my punishment! 😹😹 I know he’s FIV+, but he is the sweetest boy! He give my boys kisses and head boops! He will get along with other cats, but should be in a home with other FIV+ cats!

Happy Furever After Thursday! 💕 Although a couple weeks late, we wanted to share a very happy First Birthday celebration for Inky… ((and our entire “pac man” bottle baby litter from last year)). Inky is now known as just “Pretty”, because well… she’s pretty! We know she’s living her best life with another one of our favorite bottles from last year The Colonel (Now Storm Trooper Finn).
