Ace's Sanctuary and Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization, here to serve the homeless cat and kitten population around Lawson/Kearney/Excelsior Springs, Missouri. That includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccines, dewormer, goodie bag to include a sample of the food they're eating, and Feline Leukemia/FIV test. Meet Beatrix Kiddo 💛🐾

Named after a fierce female who never gives up, Beatrix may be down—but she’s definitely not out.

She came to us with possible injuries, and after a vet check, we found two tail fractures and two pelvic fractures—one on each side. 😢 It’s painful and makes walking tough, but this brave girl is all purrs and biscuit-making despite it all.

We don’t know what she’s been through, but we do know she’s safe now—and we’re going to help her heal.

Arianna was in town visiting family and fell in love with Butternut. She was worried that she’d have to leave without him when she started the application process but we were able to make this purrfect match happen in time! Butternut is off to start his new life with Arianna in Tennessee! Safe travels and congratulations! 🚙🐈🏡

🇺🇸 In Remembrance of 9/11 🇺🇸

Today, we paws to remember the lives lost and forever changed on September 11, 2001. We honor the courage of first responders, the resilience of survivors, and the unity that brought us together in the face of tragedy.

As a cat rescue, we are also reminded of the silent victims—animals who were lost, displaced, or left behind during the chaos. In the days following 9/11, many rescue workers not only searched for human lives, but also helped save countless pets, showing that compassion knows no species.

🐾 Let us carry forward that same spirit of empathy, kindness, and service—whether it’s to our neighbors, our community, or the animals who rely on us for love and safety.

We will never forget. 🕊️

🐾✨ HUGE NEWS: BARRY HAS BEEN ADOPTED!! ✨🐾

Linda has been following Barry’s story since the day he arrived and has been patiently waiting for him. She gave him time to decompress and grieve. Today, they finally met — and it was love at first sight! Barry’s journey and happy furever after moments like this are what rescue is all about. Tears were shed, and we can’t wait for all the updates. Congratulations to you both! 🥹🥹

Miss Chai is a clingy sweetheart! She demands all the pets and follows you wherever you go. She talks often and it’s very soft. Chai makes the best biscuits with her tiny motor going full blast. 💛 Sending Love to Pips Today 💛

Sweet little Pips is going in for surgery today to correct a condition called entropion, where her eyelids roll inward and rub against her eyes. Unfortunately, she inherited this from her dad, Toppling, whose eyes have already been damaged by it. We’re grateful to be able to catch it early for Pips — before it causes her any pain or permanent harm.

Her surgery today will help her live a more comfortable, healthy life — no more irritated eyes! The procedure costs around $800, and if you feel called to help Pips on her healing journey, donations are greatly appreciated.
