Sadly, we just got "the call". His prison inmate gig paperwork has been approved and will be leaving us Friday. For a moment there I thought we found him a home locally, but the family never showed up for their 1:00 meet-up. It was such a great fit too.
Oh well. I invested my all into loving him while we had him. There are still 2 days left for a miracle.

PUGSLY has a new fashion cape for when I take him to dog friendly stores. I try to get him into the public arena at least once a day.may as well try to find him a home since he attracts so many folks when he's out. Such a handsome boy. Only 1 week left before he leaves us to go to his prison Inmate Training program. It's a great beneficial service but he is such a good pup already... he don't need no stinkin' trainin'! :)

We started our 6 day "Help us find a home for Pugsly" campaign today. We are hoping to find a great home for him before he enters his job with the CPAA Prison partner program. He is a well mannered, super loving 5-8 year old rescue, abandoned in urban Georgia and brought to PA where we have been Fostering him since March. He loves car rides, pet friendly stores, watching Penguin hockey games and playing in our back yard. He may or may not get along with other dogs in the same home but passes others while walking with little regard. He has been with children (infants and a 2 year old) with little interest. He is a beautiful handsome pup that automatically draws attention when out. He is a strong boy, and loves to give lots of kisses. He walks well, eats nicely, is respectful of your wishes, dies not chew or destroy things that aren't his and is smart enough to know the difference. He rarely barks and is a pleasure to pet. A great car companion and would surely be of benefit in your home and family's security during these troubled times. Would you like to meet him? Just ask... we have him only until 4/7 at the latest, but be forewarned... you will fall in love with this pup, just as we have. We are also offering free pet sitting care for him should he be adopted locally.

Meet "Pugsly" (aka Bishop), an incredibly handsome, friendly and happy yellow lab/pitbull mix we at HydrantHounds and UnderOurWoof are fostering for the month I hopes of finding a forever home for. Check back daily to follow Sparkys story and progress. He has had a pretty tuff time of late, as both his original owners passed, only to be rescued by a Trucker who lost/abandoned him in a bad part of Atlanta. He was recently brought to PA by a local rescue group where we found him and offered to give him some one-on-one love and attention and to work on anything that would help perfect his perfectness. He has a larger pit bull like body and has the coat and scruffy neck of a yellow lab. He walks fairly well on a lead and should be less prone to the occasional pulling after we care with him a bit. He is very soft mouthed, has no aggressions we've seen (although we were told he didn't like to be crated or kenneled..who does??). He loves to be petted and sleeps well on "mom & dad's" bed. He's just a great, happy pup of 8 years (I would guess he behaves like a 4 year old) and is super healthy. If you are looking for a companion that loves care rides, trips to lowes or the pet store, and will provide for daily smiles... get in touch with us. We are helping to train him to go into the prison aftercare program if we can't find a home for him. He will do OK there, but deserves a quality home. Please help us! Dr Bob & Denise, Under Our Woof
