LION & Elbeco: Breaking Bread in 1964

The similarities between LION and Elbeco have always been remarkable, long before Elbeco became part of LION. Both family-owned companies share strong values, a deep commitment to quality, and a long history of serving the industries that rely on their products. This connection goes back decades, and we have the perfect example to prove it.

60 years ago, at the National Association for Uniform Manufacturers, Inc. convention in New York City, the two companies were captured together in this iconic photo. Take note of the two red marks over the gentlemen sitting on the dais—on the left is Clarence Lapedes from LION, and on the right is the father of David Lurio from Elbeco!
