Meet Max! He is a 1 yr old beagle/ Boston Terrier. Max was surrendered by no fault of his, but because the family was experiencing some financial issues. Max is still very much a puppy. He loves to play. He enjoys squeaky toys and stuffed animals. He plays chase with his human foster brother often. While Max behaves like a puppy, he also loves snuggle time. Whenever his foster mom sits down, Max jumps on her lap and goes to sleep. Max has 2 doggy siblings whom he adores. They play chase and are often found napping together on their giant pillows. Max lives with a cat. He does not chase or attack him, but Max will bark at him. It appears that Max is afraid of the cat. So dog savy cats in the home would be best.

Max is working on potty training. He is about 80% there but still occasionally has an accident. Max is very food motivated. He is receiving dry food with an occasional, very enjoyable treat. Max is working on his manners. He does jump when he gets excited but is easily redirected. He knows how to sit on command and will do this to have his leash hooked and before he is given his food. He is crate trained and enjoys going inside at the end of the day when he gets tired. He is also crated when his foster family is not home. Though he usually sleeps in his crate at bedtime, he will sometimes sleep in his foster mom's bed, where he loves to go under the covers to get cozy.

In short, Max is good with kids and other dogs. He's curious about cats, but doesn't harm them. He is almost potty trained but still has a few accidents. Max is up to date on his vaccines and is neutered.

🐾 Meet Chase! 🐾
Chase is a sweet handsome 2-year-old black Lab mix. Rescued from a Philly shelter just in time. This playful pup is all about fun—his favorite pastimes include chasing balls, carrying sticks, and winning at tug-of-war. He would do best with a work-from-home adopter or an active family who can keep up with his enthusiasm. If left without enough activity, he can get a little bored, but a good game of fetch or a long walk will do the trick.

He’s great with other dogs! He has been around a cat shows playfulness but we have not to let them interact. Because he’s still learning his size and strength, we recommend supervision for kids under 13 when he’s playing.

He is crate trained. So far not a barker but will call for your attention with a little whine. 100% potty trained, never any accidents. Neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccinations.

Smart and eager to please, Chase already knows sit, paw, down, and high five—and he’s always ready to learn more! After playtime, he makes a great nap buddy and loves curling up by your bed.

LucyLu is ready for a forever home...

LucyLu is a two year old CHOCOLATE Cavalier. This unusual color doesn't happen often in Cavaliers, so this little girl is bound to grab the attention of anyone she meets... which is just fine with her since she loves attention!

Given that she came from a breeding situation where she got limited attention, LucyLu is a surprisingly confident little girl. She walks well on a leash and is happy to make friends (two- and four-legged) with anyone she meets. She also is quite the bundle of energy, so an active household where there is lots going on and she gets plenty of attention would be ideal.

At home, LucyLu loves to sit on the couch and snuggle with you. She happily plays with toys (and anything on the floor is considered a toy!) but always likes to know where her "person" is. LucyLu sleeps in a crate at night and is crated when no one is home. She's learning commands - "sit" and "come" are pretty solid - and is working on her manners. She's always ready for a walk or a new adventure.

If taken out regularly, LucyLu doesn't have accidents in the house, although regression is normal when changing environments. LucyLu loves her food, and can be watchful of her food when other dogs are around. She'll bat her eyelashes as she swipes another dog's peanut butter filled Kong!

A fenced home would be ideal. Off-leash is not an option for this one, since LucyLu would much prefer to follow her nose and seek out the next new playmate four blocks away rather than stick around and wait for fun to come to her.

LucyLu is fine with other dogs and happy to coexist with the cat in her foster home. In her forever home, dog savvy kids would be ok as long as the family knows that anything on the floor is fair game and an open door is an invitation to explore (with no guarantee of a return).

Meet Raven, a beautiful, sweet and playful 4-year-old French Bulldog looking for her forever home! Raven is as lovable as they come—she’s a gentle soul with a fun-loving spirit. Whether she's chasing after toys, playing with her favorite humans, or snuggling up for a cozy nap, Raven is always ready to brighten your day.

Raven’s foster mom describes her as “absolute perfection” and says she has every good Frenchie quality and none of the bad. She’s a little ball of love wrapped in fur. If you’re ready for a loyal, affectionate, SWEET friend who will always bring a smile to your face, Raven is the girl for you!

Raven would do best in a home where someone works from home or is home more often than not, as she does have very mild separation anxiety.

Like most frenchies, Raven does have some medical issues. While in foster care, Raven woke up one morning with a head tilt. A trip to one of our wonderful partners confirmed Raven likely had IVDD. She has some narrowing in the disks of her neck and spine. Raven was treated with prednisone and responded immediately. She’s been in great health since but her adopter must understand this breed can be very fragile and needs to have the means to care for her medically should this flair up again. Raven was also diagnosed with hip dysplasia and a low grade (1) luxating patella in her right knee. It is suggested she stay on a joint supplement for life. With all that said – Raven doesn’t seem to be in any pain and joyfully goes about her days playing with her foster siblings.

Sweet Ravey is UTD on vaccines, spayed, had nares surgery (bc frenchie), microchipped, and on preventatives. She is living in Levittown, PA with 2 bichons and a big pittie and she gets along beautifully with all. Say Hello to Bart!

Bart is an approx. 7-year old Black Pug rescued from a commercial breeder and life of breeding. Bart is a Big Handsome Feisty Boy (approx 28lbs) that is loving life and being with his people! Just look at that face…everyone that meets him loves him! Bart will follow you everywhere you go! No room is off limits and he is a Pug, so you can usually hear where he is! :). He is starting to enjoy walks on a leash and just recently started playing with toys! He will steal your heart very quickly! His foster mom really thinks he is an awesome boy and is always doing something to make you laugh. He sometimes doesn’t know his own size…lol. For this reason, children over 8 are recommended. A fenced yard is recommended but not required. He does like to wonder around the back yard and sniff everything.

Bart is good with other dogs and resides currently with three resident dogs. He would also be good as an only dog. Brad has been working on potty training and will need someone to be patient with him and keep him on a routine so he can be the best boy. He does wear a belly band while he is inside. Regression is expected when moving into a new forever home. Bart is not a fan of the crate, so he does hang out in his play pen area when his foster family is not home. He would prefer someone that is home most of the day.

Meet Benny, a 4-month-old mini poodle. Benny came into the rescue by a commercial breeder. He currently is around 13 pounds.

Benny loves to be around people. He is still shy when first meeting him but he opens up rather quickly. Benny loves to snuggle when he gets comfortable with you!! If he’s not snuggling, he’s playing independently with his toys or begging you to play fetch.

Benny is doing well learning to walk on a leash. He has been sleeping in his crate overnight and has been doing well as long as he can see his family. Benny currently lives with two cats and they all get along. Benny would do best with a fenced in back yard so he can get his zoomies out, however, it’s not required.

Everyone, meet Tootsie Pop. Tootsie is an English Bulldog weighing in at 56lbs. Tootsie found herself in our care after being surrendered by her commercial breeder.

Hi Friends, Im Tootsie. I’m on the search for my family… could you be them?!? I’m a super adorable little meatball. Um friendly, outgoing and I love to cuddle. Labs are my favorite resting place. I currently live in a home with lots of other doggies and some kitties and we all get along great!!!

Tootsie is doing well learning to walk on a leash and is also doing well with potty training. She has not spent much time in a crate since she has been in foster care. Her foster mom gates her in a small room when she leaves and she has been perfectly content.

Introducing the Marvelous standard poodle Maisel

Maisel is a 3-year-old standard black and white parti poodle, named after the character from The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. Maisel is a super inquisitive poodle, taking in this new world all around her! She would love to have a fun, playful fur sibling to play and go on adventures with. Like her namesake from The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Maisel has a comedic charm and quick wit (if dogs could do stand-up, she’d have a sold-out tour). She would thrive in an active home that keeps her engaged, as she has the energy and smarts of a true poodle, and being food motivated will be the ticket to guarantee great performances!

Maisel will blend well into many home environments, as long as she gets plenty of stimulation and adventure to keep her entertained. Maisel uses a crate while her foster family is away but sleeps in a cozy dog bed in their room at night. However, she would absolutely prefer sleeping in bed with her co-stars! Maisel loves to cuddle and is happiest when she is laying as close to her person as possible. If you’re a family that doesn’t allow dogs on the furniture, Maisel may not be the best fit—she firmly believes that the best seats in the house are the ones shared with her favorite humans or canine siblings!

When Maisel arrived from the breeder, she had been completely shaved down, so she’s currently rocking a minimalist look. But don’t let that fool you—once her coat grows out, she’ll be ready to steal the spotlight with any number of glamorous poodle styles! Whether she’s sporting a classic continental trim or a chic modern groom, Maisel is sure to turn heads wherever she goes!

Meet Griffin, a playful and affectionate 4-month-old miniature poodle. He was surrender by a commercial breeder with his three brothers. He may be only seven pounds, but his heart is as big as his fluffy coat! Griffin has an adventurous spirit and big personality! This little guy is full of curiosity and loves being with his people. He is still a little nervous around new people and things, but quickly learns to trust. Griffin brings joy anywhere he goes!

Griffin is working on potty training and does well as long as he is taken out regularly. He walks nicely on a leash and does ok in his crate, but might complain for a few minutes before settling down. He loves the other dogs in the house and would do great with an older dog who is willing to tolerate a playful puppy. Griffin is neutered and UTD on vaccines and preventatives.

With his snuggly, playful personality, Griffin is the perfect companion for anyone who loves a little extra fluff and fun!

🐾🐾Meet Fabian🐾🐾

He is a delightful 5-month-old Miniature Poodle with a heart full of love and a tail that never stops wagging! This sweet little guy is looking for his forever home where he can bring joy and cuddles to his new family.
Though he's still in the puppy stage, his personality is so playful and curious. He loves to play with his toys or chew on his bully stick and can keep himself occupied for quite a while. Fabian is very friendly and loves everyone he meets. He has been around children and lives with 2 foster siblings one small dog and one medium size dog, and he loves them both. He has not been around cats so not sure how he would react. Fabian is eager to learn and grow. His playful energy and loving nature make him the perfect companion for someone who is ready to provide him with lots of love, attention, affection, and, of course, playtime. Whether he's chasing after toys or snuggling up on the couch, Fabian is always up for some fun or some quality bonding time.

He is not a fan of his crate but will go in it while his foster mom has an errand to run or appointments. He does bark when first put in but does settle down. He has not been in the crate for any longer then 4 hours.
At night he cuddles up in the bed with his foster mom and other small dog and sleeps all through the night.

Fabian is doing well with potty training and is making great progress (please remember regression could occur in a new environment). We are working on basic commands but still need some practice. He walks well on a leash but a fenced in yard where he can run and do his zoomies would be ideal but not necessary.
He would thrive in a home where he can be part of the family, get plenty of exercise, and receive the training and care he needs to become the best pup he can be.
Fabian is neutered, microchipped and up to date on all his vaccinations. He is on flea, tick and heartworm medication which must continue at his new home. Due to his poodle coat he will need regular grooming. If you're ready to open your heart and home to this adorable little poodle, Fabian is waiting to meet you!
He is being fostered in York, PA and approved applicants and their families and dogs will have to travel to York for a meet and greet before being approved for adoption.

Meet Ollie - your new shadow! This adorable 4-month-old Mini Poodle is as sweet as they come! He may be a little shy at first, but once he warms up, he’ll be your very best friend. He’s a certified Velcro dog—wherever you go, he goes. Bathroom break? He’s supervising. Quick trip to the fridge? He’s your taste-tester. Thought you were going to be alone for five seconds? Think again! He loves to cuddle and will happily spend hours on the couch. With a little patience and a lot of love, he’ll blossom into the perfect companion.

We can’t even begin to thank everyone enough for your continued support and kindness. We truly appreciate everyone who sent supplies, monetary donations and shared our posts. Mama Sammy’s puppies have received all of these much needed supplies. As you can see they are growing very fast, currently just over 3 weeks old.
Any guesses what we think these babies might be??? Thanks to the DNA kit we were sent we will know soon enough.

Eli is looking for a home to love and be loved through his golden years! Eli lost his home when his owner passed away and he was taken to ACCT Philadelphia where he was not dealing with the shelter environment well. Zoe's stepped in and took him into foster care. He is a super-friendly, spunky little guy who has never met a stranger. Eli is a 12-year-old, approximately 20-pound Bichon mix. Everyone who meets him comments that he can't possibly be 12 years old because of his energy level. Eli is ready for his second act! He also has hearing loss. None of this stops him from enjoying life as a typical dog. Actually, it took his foster family a while to discover his impairment because of his ability to compensate for it. He follows cues around him. The biggest thing that one will notice with his hearing loss is that he does not hear his name being called or "no". He is eager to please and responds to hand claps and hand signals. It will only take a few prompts for him to realize that he is not supposed to do something, and then he will be very compliant. Eli wants nothing more than to please his family. He has been living in a foster home with large and small dogs, and he loves children. He enjoys stuffies, walks, playing fetch, and snuggles. He is crate-trained, but the crate is not his favorite place. He is housetrained. However, he benefits from being taken out regularly. Eli will need regular grooming. Hi, it's me again 👋🏻 My name is Sequoia, I'm a one year old German Shorthaired Pointer. Can you believe I'm still available for adoption!?!? Is it my three-legged status? Or maybe it's my tail? I bet it's because I lack the normal GSP coloring and favor white....whatever the reason may be, I hope someone will look again and apply to adopt me soon! I really want a family of my own.... Now don't get me wrong, my foster family is THE BEST ❤️ I have a human sister and furry siblings too, and I love them equally. They take me all sorts of fun places, on adventures, and tell me how good of a bird dog I am ALL THE TIME. Here's a few things I envision in my future family- 🔸️Fenced yard 🔸️Likes walking and being active 🔸️A friend for me to play with (that's around my size) 🔸️Bird dog experience and/or higher energy breed experience would be good 🔸️Toys, especially balls 🔸️Older "dog savvy" kids Here's a few things I could do without- ❌️Cats or small animals (I have a bit of a prey drive, or so they tell me) ❌️Small dogs ❌️A sedentary family I am crate trained and potty trained (although regression is normal in a new environment).
