Joint injections are changing—this product stimulates the synovial cells to produce more healthy joint fluid on its own. Inject less often and use fewer or no steroids. Call to set up an appointment today to see if your horse would benefit!

During Our Remodel: When Possible, Please Call Ahead When Picking Up Medications, Pet Food, and Supplies

As our clinic remodel progresses, the next phase will involve us moving into the newly constructed space while renovation starts on our existing facility. When this transition occurs, we won’t immediately have enough room to have the entirety of our retail products displayed in the new space. To access many of the products you’ll need, we’ll have to walk through the construction area to the garage to obtain the items. If you know your order in advance and can call it in ahead of your arrival, we can have your order ready for you when you arrive and minimize your wait time. We know this isn’t always feasible to do, but when possible it will help us immensely. Thank you in advance for your understanding.

Thanks to a break in the weather, progress is being made on our remodel. Yesterday morning we still had a cement slab, and by the end of the day today the initial framing will be done! We thank you all for your continued patience as we endure the necessary chaos in the parking area and banging heard while in the office.

Life of a Vet Tech. Tending to a recovering dog, documenting meds, and eating lunch. What you don’t see is how many times she’s been interrupted from those things, to also answer the phone and run to the front desk to help check out clients… all while keeping a smile! We love our staff, and so do our patients🥰.

Things are steadily moving along with the addition to our office. When the framing begins there will certainly be times when our normal entrance is blocked by construction equipment. We’ve anticipated this and have extended our parking area with a gravel lot. If the original driveway is not obstructed please feel free to continue using it. However, if when you arrive at the office our normal entrance seems congested, or blocked, please use the driveway off of Hwy 3 immediately East of our original driveway. You may still park on the concrete in front of the office and we will soon have signage marking how we’d prefer to have clients park on the gravel portion. Thank you for your patience with this construction project. We will all appreciate the positive changes to the practice once this remodel is complete.

We’re growing and needed to expand (and remodel)! A lot has happened in the last 24 hours here at Readlyn Veterinary Associates. Two trees came down yesterday in preparation for the excavation and pouring of footings today. We have been planning this addition and renovation since last year, and we’re thrilled to see the project start to come to life.

With this renovation, we will have a new entry, a larger waiting area with a restroom for clients, 2 additional exam rooms, a revamped treatment and lab area in the back, a designated surgical prep room, a newly renovated surgical suite, and an expanded parking area.

These changes will allow us to better serve you, our clients, but during the process we ask for your patience. We will still be operating the practice throughout the remodel, but it is bound to be noisy and a bit chaotic at times. Please bear with us, it will be worth it in the end.

UPDATE:
The westbound lanes of Hwy 3 were already drifting in as we drove into the office this morning, and the snow has picked up since then. We will be closing the office at 10:00 AM today so all staff members can get home safely. To reiterate, any dogs boarding with us will still be taken care of tonight. Our kennel staff member lives in town and will contact our snow removal service to clear a path to get in if necessary. Every please stay safe.

Well, this weather has us sounding like a broken record......With the National Weather Service now issuing a Blizzard Warning (starting at 10 AM Friday), our office hours might differ tomorrow (Friday 1/12). We will make every effort to be open, if even for part of the day, but in the interest of staff and client safety we will close the office early if road conditions deteriorate to the point of being unsafe. Please call the office before coming in to make sure we are still open. If the office is closed, phones will be forwarded to the doctor on call. If you have a veterinary emergency call (319)279-3867 and leave a message as directed by the voicemail and the doctor on call will return your call as soon as they are able. Rest assured any animals in our care for boarding purposes will still be attended to, as we have local kennel staff members that can still make it into the office if others cannot.
