Yesterday I said goodbye to Skitz, the original "scaredy cat". Once he was comfortable, he became the most cuddly kitty I have known in many years. Originally a stray in Highlands, he befriended a friend's cat and would come into their place at night and run right out in the morning. (Thus the name). When these friends moved to a senior building, Skitz and his best pal, Fluffy, came to live with my exhusband Pete. Fluffy died within the first year, but Skitz outlived Pete and came to live with me. Already in advanced renal failure, he lived the last 2+ years comfortably and happily. What a sweet old (20!) boy. He loved to be brushed and cuddle up at night. He loved his treats and singing opera with Phoebe to wake me for breakfast. I will miss him so. Godspeed, Skitzer! Phoebe and I love you!
