These handsome, distinguished gray brothers are 8-10 years old and were taken to a shelter when their owner passed away. They were friendly at home, but they are terrified (not aggressive) at the shelter. Meet Lollipop and Rainbow. They are 6 year old sisters who live in an alley. The business is being sold and torn down. They need to be re-located as soon as possible. They have been spayed and shots will be updated. Some people can pet them so they may be able to transition to living indoors. We are trying to determine that.

Please read the caption of this photo. It explains just one of the reasons ear-tipping is important.
Ear tipping allows a feeder to tell when new unspayed females show up in a cat colony.
What else? Animal control and other authorities can tell that an ear-tipped cat is spayed or neutered and being cared for, so they are less likely to be captured and put to death. Ear tipping also prevents cats from going through the trauma of being trapped and put under anesthesia for spay surgery unnecessarily- because the TNR volunteers can tell that they have already been fixed, and know not to trap them. Ear tipping is a painless procedure that is beneficial to both feral cats and the dedicated trapping volunteers.

Meet Dakota… 14 years old… owner had to go into a nursing home. This sweetie needs a second chance. Located in Middletown, up for adoption through our rescue. She attended her first adoption event today and was so calm and stoic, a real trooper!

We had a great weekend- 9 adoptions! Here are some of the little faces that went home! Would you like to share in the fun? Justice has been waiting longer than any cat we currently have, and there is no explanation! She has such a cute, quirky face and huge green eyes, and LOVES people! She is not big on other cats but could live with them as long as she is not expected to be buddies. Justice is about 3 years old. Where are her people?

Welcome mama Buttercup and her 4 little blossoms… our first kitten family of 2024!
Kitten season is just beginning, and we are so in need of kitten food (cans & dry). Donations can be left at the Adoption Center in Holmdel Petsmart any time… ask a Petsmart team member for assistance. Gift cards are also welcome and can be slipped under the door. And as always, we hold adoptions at this location every Saturday from 12:30-3:30. Thank you and Happy Spring!

Talk about being framed! Cagney & Lacey are on the case! These 10-11 month old bonded sisters have been waiting longer than any other cats at our rescue. For no good reason- they are delightfully entertaining and affectionate!
