Sunshine Mills Sunshine Mills. Feeding the world’s love for their pets since 1960. Sunshine Mills has developed through three generations as a truly American family business.

Headquartered in the rural north Alabama town of Red Bay, the company began as a producer of animal feed in 1949 under the direction of Omer Bullen and his son-in-law, Fred Bostick, Jr. The business continued to grow and pet food was added to the production lineup in 1960 in a pelleted form.

Alan Bostick took over the reins as President and CEO in 1984 and has continued the progress and foresigh

t of his grandfather, father and brother, expanding their product line and geographic reach to eventually include all of the United States and more than 30 countries worldwide.

The company has grown to over 700 employees with food and treat capacity exceeding 1 billion pounds annually in three locations. In addition, Sunshine has two dog biscuit facilities and soft & chewy treat production. Today, our products are marketed under various Sunshine brands as well as private label offerings. These items can be purchased at most of the major retailers across the USA including mass merchandisers, grocery, value discount, clubs, pet specialty, hardware and the farm & feed channels. As much as we have grown, we have never lost our focus on family values. Our pets become part of our families. That’s why we at Sunshine Mills do everything in our power craft food and treats carefully designed to help you maintain your pet’s health and happiness for many years to come.

September 11th, 2001, around 10,000 emergency rescue workers from all across America came together to Ground Zero to help. An estimate of around 300 of those Heroes were specially trained dogs who joined in the endeavor.

Join us in remembering and honoring the incredible four-legged heroes who selflessly joined the rescue efforts at Ground Zero. These specially trained dogs, alongside their handlers, played a vital role in search and rescue, police work, therapy, and providing comfort. Today, we pay tribute to their unwavering spirit and dedication. Let's never forget their remarkable contribution.

Here's how: Materials: Clear cat backpack Blue, Green, & Orange Felt Scissors Tape A fish costume for your cat (available online or at pet stores) Steps: 1. Cut out fish shapes from the orange and white craft paper or felt and water waves from the blue craft paper or felt. 2. Tape the fish shapes & wave onto the outside of the cat backpack.
