Dr. Ed graduated from Ross University in 2005. Our hospital motto is “Our patients are our pets and our clients are our family”. We value the relationship, continued trust, and goodwill we establish with our clients. Providing quality, compassionate care in a timely manner is our top priority. We must convey to each and every client that we are there when you need us.
• We take a lifespan approach to each of our patients and are dedicated to being there from puppy/kitten shots, through the illnesses and traumas, and eventually the geriatric years until the end of the pet’s life.
• We are dedicated to client education and providing our clients with enough information to make appropriate decisions for their animal companions.

Halloween started early A.M. with Brianna spooking Dr. Ed dressed up, as him, mannerisms and all!! She got him 100%!!
After business hours, Dr. Ed and Kathleen were roaming the streets, incognito, as bird friend crows!

Hi Better Lives Family!!

The hospital will be CLOSED on Saturday, November 2nd and Saturday, November 9th.

Dr. Ed and Kathleen will be attending the 2024 West Indies Veterinary Conference in St. Kitts for continuing education.

The hospital will remain OPEN on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday with Danielle, Michaela and Brianna holding down the fort.

With confidence, we know that our awesome technicians will handle any needs that may arise. Feel free to call the office for an appointment and office hours.

Just had to share this beautiful gift Dr. Ed and I received today from one of our favorite clients - and special friends - Dana!

Dana is the first person to say "...but really, I don't even like chihuahuas" but she fell hard - in love - with Johnny at first sight. He gets showered (spoiled rotten!!) with gifts and treats. Spoiling him, is spoiling us! The biggest THANK YOU for all that you do Dana~

If you know, you know! 🙄 It’s waaaay overdue…

Please take note: if you have an appointment or need to come into Better Lives Animal Hospital on Monday, please use Ulster Savings Bank lot across the street for parking. I wouldn’t recommend parking on the street 🫤 but do at your own risk.

ATTENTION Better Lives Family:

Better Lives Animal Hospital will be CLOSED this Saturday March 23rd - we apologize for any inconvenience - Dr. Ed and Kathleen will be away on vacation.

The hospital office will remain OPEN during the week of March 25th through March 29th and Danielle, Michaela & Brianna will be holding down the fort while the Doc and family are away.

Please call ahead for hours before stopping by - or feel free to call the girls for appointments/medication refills/products.
