Your dog lives in my home amongst my family
(hence 1 complete grooming may be given). Walks, Cuddle and yard time is all-inclusive. I don't charge xtra for
15 minutes in the yard with a person or without, add-on fee- that
doesn't exist here! (No Add-on fees)
Dogs are not crated, unless I feel it is in THEIR best interest...
Some dogs find a personal space more secure, and less
overwhelming in a

new environment...
Un-housebroken puppies may also be crated some of the time
as part of a crate-training consistency program...
Others bring their own crates as their dogs may be crated in
their own homes- I try to keep your rules consistent. You also provide food and feeding/dietary instructions as well as any
meds for the length of stay. The dogs I board should be social and friendly. Non-aggressive towards other dogs, as I frequently have other
dogs here...
You are charged for 1 complete grooming,
(unless your dog was in my shop with in 2 weeks prior to being
boarded) but that is not to say your dog is not combed out more
often depending on length of stay...
Occasionally I find a complete grooming is not necessary...
we can discuss this. Since the dogs live in my house,
I need to be sure they are parasite free-
and clean gets them the most attention! TO ENSURE you have a clean dog at time of pick-up,
if your dog is here for 2 weeks, a 2nd bath may be given to
ensure you have a clean dog at time of pick-up at the
rate of $18-58 depending on coat type and size of dog. About me and my philosophy...
Canine-Corner is a small home business with lots of experience! It was established in Red Hook, NY in 1996,
but the grooming experience goes back to the 1970's-
as a child grooming & showing our Scottish and Wheaten Terriers. The business grew out from me grooming my own dogs,
and friends' dogs, eventually via word of mouth, the business
grew from a hobby out of love to a full-time job. I am a Certified Groomer,
and graduate of the New York School of Dog Grooming,
you will be pleased with the professional grooming, love and
care your pet receives at a reasonable price! Due to economic reasons, a full-time job with benefits was
necessary... As a result the passion for dogs has not decreased,
but the hours have- reducing them to evenings and weekends. Surprisingly, this was an added benefit to many, as most
groomers are only available Monday-Friday 9-5...

Please give me a call (include both an evening and daytime #)
and I will return your call with any questions or concerns you may
have, set up an appointment, or give you consulting information
regarding grooming your own dog or cat, training, boarding or
breed information. The philosophy here, is to create a low stress environment. Not a crazy 'busy' noisy shop. Occasionally the barky pup is here for an extended time,
however creating a low stress environment curbs the barking
and eases the stress of the most nervous of dogs. Soft gentle handling, not curt domineering methods, are used to
control the most unruly of pups. Natural and organic products are used as much as possible! Your pets' health and our environment are top concerns when
choosing the products I use. I also offer training...

PSA: I know hindsight is 20/20
But if you scan the massive number of lost pet posts know it could happen to you. MICRO CHIP your pets, AND UPDATE the information to keep it current.
While not fool-proof, you can increase your chances of being reunited, particularly when a dog is picked up in one area and taken to another.
