Thank you to Carol Molina and feline solutions for the Sheba and gastro foods for Kat-Mandoo.

We are still greatly in need of donations through our link or directly to Columbia animal hospital as well as Purina naturals (adult) on our Amazon & Chewey wish list. We literally have 1 bag left for over 30 adults. **We have updated the Amazon & Chewy wish list to include Temptations Chicken soft & creamy center dry cat food, specifically for Kat-Mandoo. Not something we normally ask for, however, this is the only dry that he will eat at the moment.

Kat-Mandoo has another appointment on 3/27. His labs are good but he's still not eating enough (losing weight) not drinking so he's on sub q fluids every other day.

Donations were received to cover his first and 2nd appointment but nothing toward this upcoming visit, nor our girl needing a full mouth dental with X-rays, meds and blood work.

Our donation link is below and we cannot express enough how much we appreciate all that has been donated. Don't forget we're a 501c3 so all tax deductible!

We can't do this without our supporters and with kitten season already starting, we desperately need to cover these upcoming bills so that we can help as many kittens as possible.

Kat Mandoo (Doodles):
We are $320 short on donations for the visit on 3/18 that consisted of CBC chem profile with thyroid, UA, subcutaneous fluids, an injection to bring down the 105° fever, an injection of antibiotics to start combating the upper respiratory and urinary tract infections, cerenia for the vomiting so he would eat, an fiv/FeLv test which was negative thankfully, & the take home medication.
His follow up is in the morning 3/20. They projected a bill between $250-300 to include ultrasound, xray or CT to check the stomach/bowel, additional meds & update his vaccines if healthy enough.

Our vet thinks Kat-mandoo "doodles" will be saveable & REHOMEABLE

These estimates do not include the cat we have to take in on 3/27 who needs a dental including X-rays, a full mouth extraction, pre-op blood work, cleaning (if any can be saved) antibiotics, follow up exam, etc. That quote is $900 at the low end cost.

Our donation link is below. If you would prefer, you can donate directly to Columbia Animal Hospital @ 717-684-2285, under Purr-fect Hearts Kitten Fosters. Every donation helps and is very much appreciated 🐾

URGENT! DONATIONS NEEDED!! SHARE!!

This is Kat Mandoo. This is the post mentioned earlier. He was on Find Toby. Due to his many medical needs he was surrendered to Purr-fect Hearts Kitten Fosters. He is approx. 5 1/5 year old neutered male Persian, extremely brachycephalic & barely weighs 5lbs! He was purchased from a low rated pet store in PA that gets it animals from puppy mills & backyard breeders.

History of UTI, URI, gastro issues, ulcer, breathing issues, lack of appetite, weight loss & vomiting just to name a few. We already purchased appropriate bowls & k/d prescribed food (that he won't touch) a long with 12 other foods tried. We added sheeba pate and broths (that he eats in small amounts) to our wish list but without funding for the vet's tests & diagnosis, it may not be needed. (Will update after visit)

We had a vet visit scheduled the 27th, but due to his health issues, we changed his appointment to this evening.
We are looking at a visit this evening between $1500-2000 to start. Based on previous vet records he will most likely need an internist as well.

We've attached our donation link below (Venmo/PayPal/check) or you can donate directly to Columbia Animal Hospital under Purr-fect Hearts Kitten Fosters. Their number is 717-684-2285. They will take donations even after today as we are not close to raising the needed funds, will be carrying a bill plus further follow ups & medications.

ALL donations are tax deductible & every dollar helps Without your help, saving him will be difficult.

**EDIT** TOTAL DONATIONS SO FAR $365. PLEASE PLEASE HELP US WITH HIS MEDICAL NEEDS. WE ABSOLUTELY DID NOT EXPECT THIS AFTER CINDER (NOW PHOENIX). A LOT OF OUR KITTEN SEASON MONEY WENT TOWARDS CINDER'S CARE, HOWEVER, EVEN WITH KITTEN SEASON STARTING, WE COULDN'T TURN HIM AWAY. AS A SMALL RESCUE, IT''S ONLY THROUGH DONATIONS THAT WE CAN HELP CATSLIKE THIS ONE.

Shout-out to Christy's Cat Care, LLC for donating her time to shave this poor matted boy and make him a little more comfortable.

**UPDATE....ALL ADOPTED***

**READY 4 MEOWZING HOMES
IF YOU CAN'T ADOPT, PLEASE SHARE**

These 4 siblings, 3 boys & 1 girl, are ready for their fur-ever families.

We are approximately 12-14 weeks old & fully vetted, including 2 distemper vaccines, spay/neuter, rabies, microchipped, fiv/FeLv negative, flea tick mite & heartworm prevention given, litter trained & dog, cat & child friendly.

Marble:
I am a gorgeous brown classic/bullseye pattern boy. I will do best in a home with another playful pet and/or children. I will run to greet you when you get home for cuddles and have a purr like a finely tuned hot rod.

Granite:
I am a sweet gray/cream tabby. I would do fine as a solo baby because I love being with people, cuddling, nuzzling, playing and purring my heart out. However, I would also do well with any pets or children. Here's a cute fact about me, I was born with just 3 toes on my back left foot! Can you imagine? It doesn't slow me down at all.

Slate & Micah:
We are bonded Russian Blue mixes, brother & sister. We must go together as we do everything together. You'd think we were twins except for my brother's white locket. We would do great in any home with cats, dogs & children, but we must go together.

We will come with all of our vet records. Our adoption link is below. Can you please be our furever family?

CINDER UPDATE!!!! (AND A PHOENIX AROSE)

Here is the update you all have been waiting for. As you all are aware CINDER is a miracle. But this story is not hers alone. There were 3 kittens. 2 miracles and 1 very preventable loss.

Starting with the intake of SPARK & EMBER. Upon arrival, SPARK & EMBER were smaller than what we were told by their finder. As our bottle feeder was already full, we placed a post looking for an "experienced" bottle feeder as we were told the kittens were weaned ( but we're not fully only partially). Our post was answered and we interviewed the "experienced" bottle feeder who worked from home (perfect situation or so we thought).

I personally assessed, weighed & fed SPARK & EMBER for 2-3 days prior to giving them to the bottle feeder.

We provided all supplies, food, syringes, wet & dry food, scale, heating pad & anything that was needed. We explained they were weaning & required syringe fed 3x a day but were also eating wet food.

We were in daily contact with the Foster to ensure the appropriate weight gain should be an ounce a day was being achieved. For 21 days we were told this was happening. We sent dewormers based on weights we were told & we advised the Foster to keep them kenneled away from other pets so their food intake was being monitored.

On intake, SPARK & EMBER weighed 8 & 9 oz respectively (6 weeks old). When they left me 2 days later they were 10 oz & 11 oz. 1 week later, we got a call about CINDER who was a solo at 9 oz & about 5 weeks old. It made sense to give her to the same bottle feeder as they were about the same age & weight on the same feeding schedule.

2 weeks after the feeder took CINDER we got a call stating she was limp and lifeless. We had the foster bring CINDER immediately. She weighed 5 oz with a body temperature of 90.7° & gasping. This temp is about 9° too low. We immediately took action to warm her slowly although, we truly thought she had less than an hour of life. 3 hours later, when her body temp came up, she picked up her head & gave us a solid "Meow". We then gave Sub-Q fluids, a heating pad, started a very strict heavy calorie syringe feeding schedule while praying she would pull through. It took 2 days for her to p**p so we knew she had not been fed. We were not informed that there were any issues with SPARK or EMBER. 7 days later we got a call that EMBER was limp & cold with labored breathing.

Even though CINDER required 100% of our attention we had EMBER brought here. Her body temp was also 90.9° & she weighed only 11 oz which was only a gain of 1 oz in nearly 3 weeks. Keep in mind we were told she was eating wet dry & drinking water the entire time & gaining weight.

It took ONLY 24 hours for us to get 4 oz of weight gain which confirmed that the foster was not monitoring the food, weighing or syringe feeding as we were told was happening. If SPARK had been returned at the same time we could have saved him.

Within 24 hours EMBER had shown amazing progress & was doing very well with syringe feeds every 4 hours. She was climbing & couldn't get enough food so our focus was able to be on CINDER. 2 days later, we got another call that SPARK was in the same poor condition as EMBER. We thought that with CINDER & EMBER's condition being so bad, the foster would have had the time to focus on SPARK. Especially with the daily calls, texts, photos & instructions. We should have asked for his return also. WE will ALWAYS regret the decision to not do that. At this point, all Fosters were completely filled & my husband and I were personally drained with CINDER & EMBER'S round the clock feeding, sub-q, temperature monitoring & the other 14 we were currently fostering here.

In the first week, EMBER gained a full pound however CINDER had only gained 4 oz putting her back to her initial intake weight but still in critical condition. She was being syringed a very high calorie syringe mix on a heating pad with Sub-Q daily & then we noticed a swollen right front paw.

We diagnosed this as Limping Paw Syndrome (calici virus variant) which turned into large abscesses & pockets under her arm. She also still had constant diarrhea, low body temp & her fur started flaking & falling out all over her body. We treated with antibiotics, medicated shampoos, treated her tail & a**l burns, multiple vet visits, tested her for FIV/FeLv, FIP, full CBC chem & eliminated all the other possibilities. We now had an 11 oz kitten who was 9 to 10 weeks old. We ran all fecals 3x's with all neg results. We kept going as exhausted as we were. She finally made the 1lb mark at 12 weeks, her fur was growing back & she kept escaping her crate to be with EMBER.

At 14 weeks old, we miraculously got a clean bill of health from our vet. From 12 to 15 weeks she gained a full pound plus! At 17 weeks she weighed a full 3 lbs! Our vet said she will make a full recovery & she has!! He agrees she's truly a miracle kitten that without intervention, a true fighting spirit & willingness to live probably would not have.

SPARK will always be in our hearts. It started with a SPARK & an EMBER. Even though SPARK sadly faded away, (RIP) EMBER gave a CINDER. When CINDER was nearly an ASH arose (in glory) a PHOENIX!!

Thank you to all of our supporters who donated to Cinder & Ember's care. Without our supporters, we cannot continue to help these miracle babies.

A special shout out to the Ryan family who came to us looking for a bonded pair. They adopted our trio but could not leave Ember behind as she was raised with the trio. They followed CINDER's story.

WE ARE PROUD TO ANNOUNCE THEY HAVE ADOPTED PHOENIX TO THEIR FAMILY. ❤️

Without our donors, we can not continue to help more like Cinder. Our donation link is below.

Please look and enjoy the photos of cinder rising to PHOENIX!! The photos did not load to this post so I made 2 posts with photos!

This is the bill we just had this past Friday. This is an adult we've been working with for quite some time. Any donations are greatly appreciated. You have to blow up but it was nearly $500. This is just 1 of 6 for this kitty. Please watch for his story coming!

We did receive 2 bags of Purina naturals and at least 10 more are still needed.

I did NOT forget about Cinders update. I've been struggling with how to write this post for 2 weeks.

Thank you to all our supporters. We will update Ziggy's condition as well as his full story. We've added our donation like below.

We love you guys and can't thank you enough!

We just had 6 through spay/neuter with another 7 going this week, 6 going the week after. If anyone can donate we'd greatly appreciate it. It's $40 per cat.

We need to order vaccines, dewormers, microchips, fluids, cleaners, FPV tests, fiv/FeLv tests, medications, dewormers etc., so your donations allow us to purchase these much needed foods/tests/medications. This allows us to continue helping kittens like Cinder.

We have a 7yr old foster who has been to several vets and on specialty food and we're still trying to find the exact cause of his symptoms. Every dollar counts.

We're also down to our last bag or Purina naturals (on our Chewey/Amazon) wish list. We use this for the TNR adults, the ones over 7 months we tame, colony cats we care for, as well as the 30 plus that we care for with medical conditions that make them extremely hard to home.

If anyone can help donate through our wishlist or help sponsor a kitten for spay/neuter, we'd greatly appreciate it. It helps regulate our adoption fees and allows us funds to help TNR and care for colony cats. Our donation link is below. We are a 501c3 so donations are TAX DEDUCTIBLE.

Purr-fect Hearts Kitten Fosters and the cats/kittens thank you!!

This little girl was trapped in Red Lion last week. She has been spayed and vaccinated. Our foster Jen is working hard to tame her. We think she's about 5 months old.

02/10/2025

4 spays, 1 neuter today..
3 girls, 1 boy going in next week for spay/neuter.

We'll be posting the available kittens soon!

(Yes, cinder update IS coming) 😊

I would also like to thank every Rescue/foster/foster to adopt owner that helped us in jan to present when my aunt passed away. Without ALL of you, I would not have been able to say goodbye to her. So many people stepped up to help when Tina was in San Antonio helping her daughter. I think it was 15 kittens. The kittens and Purr-fect Hearts Kitten Fosters thank you all!
