Anyone that uses dental impression material under pads. I highly recommend this stuff it’s the least greasy, holds up well, comes in a wide variety of firmnesses. Farriers Depot carry’s a wide variety of the Mustad USA products give them a try!

Not all feet are pretty! Sometimes have to leave a little foot and hope they grow by the next time around.

The Mustad USA libero eq makes it easy to ease the break over when you don’t have the foot to rocker.

Location change and time will go a long way on this guy.

Slowly getting all my horses switched over to the Mustad USA Libero shoes. Always loved the nails but now the shoes too!

For everyone who has not heard, a week ago I suffered a pretty good injury to my right arm and shoulder. I have a great team getting me put back together and threw the recovery.

With that being said Jordan Martin is going to be doing 90% of what we do. I will only be trimming and nailing on what I can depending on how my arm feels.

Not exactly sure on a recovery time frame yet, as far as we know it will be 4 weeks minimum. I will keep everyone updated as we go.

Another fun project. He’s very sensitive to nails and very thinned soles. This shoes seem to be helping regain a bit of both! Another one with some Groom's Hand Thrush Solution helping us along.

Couple before and afters. This horse has been an ongoing project. This is his first go around in the pads. They seem to be helping us finally get some growth and depth to this poor guy. Excited to see what the next two resets do for him.

A little update on the toe crack horse from 5 weeks ago. The grooms hand spray treatment is doing its job, the cracks are clean of fungus and growing out

I decided to put this horse in pads because I noticed his frogs dropping and the lack of growth to the foot. Completely normal things this time of year with the amount of rain we are getting.

An acute lamanitis horse from this morning.

He presented lame a week ago after some steroids, vet diagnosed him, waited for his soreness to go down. Today we shot X-rays of the feet before trim and after trim.

He has a very slight amount of rotation, zero sole depth, and elongated hoof. This is the shoeing prescription we decided, steel shoe with a good rocker to relive the stress when in motion, a leather pad to provide cushion and artificial depth to the hoof capsule , and dental impression material to provide the limb and foot some caudle support and load the bars of the foot.

The rainy season is upon us! Be sure to treat your horses frogs and clean up cracks if they have them. Maintenance is key in keeping good feet under our horses.
