Many years ago, when my grandparents met, each had their own breed. However, they wanted one breed they could share when they got married that could do it all, hunt and show. They decided on a German Wirehaired Pointer (GWP), and the journey started there. My grandparents accomplished pretty much everything a breeder could hope for: over 120 Champions, multiple Best in Show winners, National Specialty winner, only Grand Champion Platinum in breed history, top-producing sires and dams, many Master Hunters, and a NAVHDA Versatile Champion—the list goes on.

My mom carried their torch, continuing with showing and breeding. She has produced over 85 Champions and still focuses on breeding the most correct, sound, and healthy GWPs. Like my mom, my sister and I grew up in dogs, and it was in our blood to carry on our breeding program. By the age of 22, I have bred 40 Champions, along with many Master Hunters, and even a MACH3! Allison Chism is also following in their footsteps, and at 19 years old, she is already making her mark.

This photo represents over 50 years of love for purebred dogs. I am beyond thankful for all the hard work and dedication that came before me and for trusting Allison and I to carry on the Afterhours legacy. I hope to continue to make them proud.

After getting all the paperwork in order, I am excited to share that my grandma is now one of three GWP Breeders that have a Breeder of Merit Platinum! My mom is one of three GWP Breeders to have a Breeder of Merit Gold! Allison and I are both Silver and are the youngest to do so!
