After operating internationally for the past 3 years, we are back. We have launched our SCTI operations in the USA (Northern California). We are currently providing monthly maintenance training, with a Basic Handler Course (Patrol/Narcotics) to begin in July. We will be offering a Canine Supervisor / Manager Course in September and we are in the process of scheduling a Beginning / Intro to Police Dog Tracking Course in October. We have been asked many questions over the past week regarding when SCTI will be licensed with PNP SOSIA. Actually, we were the first K9 school to be approved for licensing by SOSIA. However, due to the COVID restrictions and not being allowed to have face-to-face classes, we did not think is was a wise business decision to get licensed and not be able to conduct training at this time.

We agree that a few K9 courses can be conducted online; K9 Supervisor /Commander, K9 Evaluator and Scent Courses, just to name a few. However, the Basic Handler Course is not one of the courses that can be taught online. In our experience, the basic course is a hands on course and the POI, requires hands on learning….

Anyone can fill out the application and pay the fees for a license. That does not mean the instruction is quality instruction, but it does meet the licensing requirements. Here at SCTI, we place high value in our instruction, which has been tested on the battlefield. Something we take great pride in…

Remember, SOSIA only applies to the private K9 industry. Police, military, government K9 and those wishing to work abroad do not fall under the SOSIA guidelines….

As soon as face-to-face classes can resume, we will revisit getting licensed with SOSIA. We support SOSIA and it’s efforts 110%! God’s blessing and continue to train everyday! Your K9 deserves your love and attention!! SCTI Strong!

Cheaper is most of the time, not the better option! You get what you pay for. Experience = Knowledge... Anyone can read a Powerpoint. But, do they have the knowledge? SCTI has the experience and the knowledge to teach you the proper methods, all tested on the battlefield and on the streets. Just because you attend a 3 week trainers course does not make you a trainer, without the training experience. Only the best, training the best. SCTI Strong!
