my piece for this years show. two pronghorn that my son Chris Tedder and I shot in wyoming several years ago. my buddy Tom Wearherson mounted the top one (mine) and I followed along and mounted bottom one (my sons). pretty cool. first antelope I ever mounted. they are fun and pretty easy.

Hunting season is upon us. North Country Skulls and Taxidermy wild game processing by hunters for hunters.

Deer, Bear, Wild Pigs, Elk, and Antelope.

We bone out all game. One by one. Individually processed start to finish and never bulk grind.

Plastic and paper wrapped or vaccum packaged at a higher price.

Minimum charge is 165.00 100lbs and under.
All animals weighing 100lbs or more will be charged 1.65 per pound.

If you choose to have sausage or just burger made and want pork or beef added.
We will charge 4.00 a lb on the added pork or beef added.

We offer wild game pepper snack sticks ans summer sausages. All smoked.

Deer season is almost upon us. We are in the Redding area just 5 minutes off of I-5. This year I will be focusing on shoulder mounts and bear rugs. We will also be doing game processing from cuts to sausages, bulk or summer. $1.50/lb cut and wrap includes grinding $150 min fee. Added fat to bulk or Summer sausage $4/lb. 20 lb min for each sausage type spices $10 per batch. Smoked summer sausage $7.50/lb finished weight.
If you are unsure about skinning or field care just message me. See the attached photo for deer. If you don't want to tackle the skinning job we will do it for you, just gut it out, cool it down and bring in fast! $50 skinning fee. Also if you are just getting a euro, or are otherwise not using your cape I offer a $50 credit for your cape in good shape (clean, cool, undamaged other than bullet holes. Again contact me for help. I would rather prepare you for successfully caring for your trophy and meat than having it not work out for your taxidermist on your mount or spoiled meat in the garbage. So butchering a deer last night. Find the bullet. it hit in the spine about 6 inches up from the hips and ended up in the offside backstrap. No mushroom, no deformation. WTF!!!??.

If you are not sure, bring it in fast or come by for a lesson.

That time of year again!!!! Your yearly reminder. DO NOT cut the throat of your buck. DO NOT cut down the back of the neck.....pull your hide over like taking off a sweater. DO NOT drag your buck behind the ATV without putting a tarp or sled under your buck. You will wear off the hair....and yes it is noticeable.

Once again this year I will be taking in game animals for processing. In the Redding area, there are fewer butchers doing game and I understand that at least one of them is already full with beef and likely not taking any animals at all. Deer and bear seasons are on in Northern California! Bring on the euros, shoulder mounts, or meat processing! And remember I give a $50 credit towards your project if you bring me your good quality cape! Don't leave that President Grant in the woods. Cape it out or just skin up to the neck. Keep cool and get it to me!
