OUR HISTORY:

Canine College has been family owned and operated since it was founded by John M. A pioneer in dog training, John began his career in the Army's K-9 Corps during WWII. Today is International Corgi Day!

Pictured is Caesar von Steuben, AKA “Caesar” who served in WWII. Caesar was claimed to be the first war dog wounded in action, having been shot twice while saving the life of his handler, Pfc. Rufus Mayo. Caesar survived his injuries and continued to serve with a bullet still lodged near his spine. He received personal commendation of the Commandant of the Marine Corps for “outstanding achievement against the enemy of Bourgainville Island”. Today we express our gratitude and remember all who have served our country. #🐶
