Just a little update on Joe Joe!!! The first two pics are him when we got him, the last 3 are from today! 😍
Joe has overcome SO much in his life, but the past 2 years he’s shown he’s a fighter! Joe got better, then got really sick again, then better and then sick. It’s been a battle, but he is literally with THE PERFECT family that NEVER gave up on him! Today, he was trail riding with one of his people and I almost shed a few tears! I couldn’t quit talking about how amazing he was and how amazing he looked!!

I LOVE a happy ending, and Joe is the biggest happy ending we’ve ever had!! So thankful to his new family for giving him a second chance and such an amazing life full of love!!! ❤️❤️❤️

💞 Horses have been adopted 💞

‼️ Horses are pending pick up‼️

I hate to make this announcemnt, but I lost my job several months ago and we have been trying our hardest to hang on. I have a new job, but we are playing catch up on bills and our personal animals, so it’s becoming a major strain for us to try and take in other horses at the moment. 😢 My dream is that none will suffer, but we just cannot continue to do it on our own and out of our own pockets. I pray that when we catch back up, we can continue to help horses in need.

With that being said, we do have 2 horses available. One will be a pasture pet/companion horse only. The other is broke. He needs work because it’s been so long since he’s been messed with, but he really wants to please. He does still need some more weight, but we can see a difference already since we’ve had him.

Please, no bashing or ugly words. We are doing our absolute best to care for these amazing animals, but we have to make sure our family is taken care of first and foremost.

Poppas Half back in 2009!!!

Poppa’s Half, AKA: Pops!
He’s still got quite a bit of weight to gain, but let me just tell you… this guy is such a gentleman!!

Pops stood stock still tied to the trailer. Never tried to pull back, and if he tried to move, once he felt pressure, he came right back to it! I brushed him all over his body, brushed his mane and forelock and got all the knots out! I would’ve brushed his tail, but I’m out of detangler. 😞 he let me pick up all 4 feet and I was able to clean the front 2. The back ones, he’s still a little timid, but I think he’ll remember it’s all okay in no time!
After all the grooming, he let me saddle him up, and when I say this horse didn’t budge… he didn’t move an inch!! I didn’t cinch him too tight, but tight enough the saddle wouldn’t move and he felt it! We trotted around and walked all over the property and he didn’t give me any funny business at all!! I’m so proud of this boy! I untacked him, brushed him some more, blanketed him and let him go! This boy is going to be something special. ❤️ He already was once, and I’m determined to help him get there again!!!! 😍🐎

Older picture, but it’s the only one I have at the moment.

We are headed home with Poppas Half! He’s an 18 year old thoroughbred gelding! He’s raced and won in his lifetime. Poppas Half shows so much potential! We can’t wait to get him home, healthy and start working with him! It’s so sad to see these horses go from Riches to Rags! I can’t wait to see what all he becomes! 😍❤️

🦄 I would like to introduce Cherokees Bar Fly.. AKA: Cherry.

Cherry is a 25 year old APHA mare. She stands at 15 hands. Her owner has had her since she was 4 months old! Unfortunately, her owner is elderly in her 80’s and is no longer physically able to care for her as she needs.

We are so excited to get to know her and her personality! She is my boy Odie’s TWIN in mare form!! 😍❤️

I am absolutely over the moon excited right now! My friend Virginia found a trainer that was the PERFECT fit for Dixie! Y’all. Look at this gorgeous girl!! He is RIDING her!! Not only riding her, but he has no feet in the stirrups and he’s ponying another horse off of her!!! 😍

This is what putting a horse in the right hands can do!!! My heart is SO FULL!!!! I love happy endings!!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Little Nora’s rain rot is getting better!! She finally has new hair growing in all the spots she was bald!! 🙌🏼😍
