Our dear sweet Athena passed peacefully today, just over a week after her third birthday. She lived a full and beautiful life, and is now reunited with her mom and sisters over the rainbow bridge. Rest peacefully sweet girl. โ€œGuardians often visit us throughout our entire lives. They sometimes have wings to wrap around and embrace us when we need them the most. Feel like the last of the โ€œdusty bitsโ€ in your mix is such a waste? Me too! I sifted the last bit of my mix through a colander to separate the un-usable bits from the good stuff, added some baby oatmeal, hot water and a bit of peanut butter, to make some healthy โ€œtreatsโ€ for my boys. Even the babies made an appearance to check out the deliciousness. I plan to freeze the rest in an ice cube trays to keep on hand for treats. Simply head and serve.
