Did you know that Horse Guard is women owned and women operated? It all started with our founder’s wife, Lori Johnson, our former CFO, who helped build Horse Guard from the ground up on the business end.The 1975 Pendleton Round-Up Queen raised and prepared her daughters (Ty – CEO and Kelsey – CFO) with the skills to bring happy, healthy horses into the next generation Today – Ty and Kelsey along with Mickie (Office Manager) Amanda (Warehouse Associate) and Kate (Social Media, Ambassador and Event support) keep the hard-working stereotype of horse girls alive in and out of the saddle. Today we celebrate all strong horsewomen for International Women’s Day ❤️
Where we started: In 1978 our founder Del Johnson saw a critical need for an over-the-counter selenium supplement for horses. Since this time Horse Guard has been built on a foundation of nutritional science and the love of happy, healthy horses.
