💛Stella - Shepard mix -
What My BrightSide Pack Says About Me: Stella, the sweetest puppy you could ever meet. She's known for her friendly nature and her smart, playful antics. This smart little girl is quick to adapt to new environments and is always ready for an adventure.

💛Linus - Black and Grey Pit Bull Mix -
What My BrightSide Pack Says About Me: I'm a sweet and affectionate boy who can be a bit shy at first, but once I warm up, I'm your best friend. I love going for walks and meeting new dog friends. I'm quite the adventurer and love sniffing new things out or trying out the agility course. Couch cuddles and learning about puzzle toys has been fun too!

💛Poppy - Chihuahua mix -
What My BrightSide Pack Says About Me: I might seem a bit shy at first, but give me some time and I'll warm up to you. I enjoy quiet moments and gentle petting. I also love toys and a good chewy bone. I am not the biggest fan of making dog friends, but I do like my human friends who understand patience and cuddles!

💛Flap - White, black, tan, Australian Cattle Dog mix -
What My BrightSide Pack Says About Me: Playtime is my favorite time, and I've got energy to spare! You'll never have a dull moment with me around. But don't worry, I'm not all bounce and bustle. I love a good cuddle session too. I'm learning basic commands and how to make new dog friends, I love running with them with my favorite ball in my mouth.

💛Pepper - Black Pit Bull mix -
What My BrightSide Pack Says About Me: I am a very sweet girl still learning about life. I can be a bit shy at first, especially with men, but once I get to know you I am all about pets and quality time! I am food motivated and love going on walks. My BrightSide humans are learning that I do enjoy making friends but can be very exited and may be a lot for some dog friends. Did I mention I love cuddles? Because I do!

💛Bentley - Retriever, Labrador/Mix -
What My BrightSide Pack Says About Me: I take time coming out of my shell as I am still learning trust and love. The leash is a bit scary to me, but I am working on it! My BrightSide humans go slow and give me treats and lots of love to help me learn life and get ready for my new home!

💛Jasa - Black and white Terrier mix -
What My BrightSide Pack Says About Me: I'm a ball of energy and love learning how to play fetch. My goofiness knows no bounds and is sure to keep you laughing. I also love making dog friends and bounding around the playyard with them.
I love to play, but I'm also a top-notch cuddler. When it's time to wind down, I'll be right by your side, or on your lap, ready for a good snuggle.

We hope you’re all ears because Dawn and Von are in need of a foster home! These sweet pup siblings were surrendered to us after their previous family couldn’t provide the time or space they needed. Both Von and Dawn can be shy when meeting new people, and everything in the shelter feels big and overwhelming to them. They’re looking for a foster home or forever home where they can continue to build confidence, come out of their shells, and grow into the best dogs. They’ve both lived with older kids before and are learning to make doggie friends here at the shelter. We did it! Thanks to your amazing support, we’ve hit our fundraising goal in the Central Oregon Gives campaign, and we couldn’t be more grateful.

We’re not done yet though! We still have the chance to win an additional $15,000 for our animals at BrightSide by being the non-profit with the most donations by December 31st. Every donation this week counts and gets us one step closer to that critical funding!

The number of homeless animals coming into our shelter is growing, and we’re seeing more families needing to surrender their pets because of financial struggles. That $15,000 could help so many stray and surrendered animals get the care they need.

Upcoming Holiday Hours at BrightSide Animal Center:

Our doors will be open and we are ready to make perfect matches and see our animals go to their new homes just in time for the holidays!

❄️ December 25th: We will be closed to the public but still here making sure our furry friends feel all of the holiday love!

How adorable is Mama Maple with her pups; Forest, Aspen, Juniper, Sierra, and Pine?! 🌲

These little cuties came to us from Madras looking for a fresh start in a loving home where they could grow big and strong. Mama Maple, in particular, needed a place where she could get all the care and attention she deserves. Thankfully, they found their way to the most amazing foster family, where they’ve spent the last five weeks getting plenty of socialization and care to help them become the sweet pups they are today.

Next stop for this perfect family? Finding their forever homes! If you’re looking to add a little (or a lot) of love to your family, they are eager to meet you.

Bennett is a very handsome 1 year old Alaskan Malamute mix who’s had a blast in his foster home! With the heart and energy of a sled dog, Bennett LOVES the snow and thrives on outdoor adventures. Whether it’s hiking, running, or just playing a game of fetch in the yard, this boy is always ready to have fun!

Bennett is incredibly smart, friendly, and full of love. He gets along well with both dogs and people. His foster family has been working with him on crate training and house manners, and he’s already proven himself to be a well-behaved and polite house guest. And when the day winds down, Bennett loves nothing more than curling up for some quality snuggle time.

Hi there, I’m Bonnie! I’m just a little pup here at BrightSide, but I’ve got big dreams of finding my forever home, playing fetch all day, and having a warm bed to curl up in.

Last week, seven lucky pups headed out to foster homes, and we couldn’t be more thankful to the wonderful people who answered our call for fosters!

A few of these dogs are back at BrightSide and are looking for their next foster family, while many others are still waiting for their chance.
