Tashunka

Since its founding in 2002 the Tashunka program has offered horsemanship instruction, horse leasing, trips, leadership development, and has developed into a dynamic and varied program which now includes boarding, training, apprenticeship, hauling, show services, clinics, consultation, and rehabilitation. , ranging in age from 5 to 65. Some have found their victories in the show arena with a well earned round of applause, others by qualifying for the state championships; some have discovered their achievements in the high country of Montana, Idaho, Canada, Washington, and Oregon; some created their own successes right at home by overcoming obstacles and mastering the unimaginable; others have had the pleasure of experiencing Tashunka in their own ways!
...and for those inquiring minds.....The name "Tashunka" is a Lakota Sioux word that translates to mean "male horse" This name was selected due to its unique quality and meaning.
