Wrangler is dashing through the playyards! It’s a quiet Christmas morning here at HSIMC but this busy little boy is on the move checking out all the sights and smells of his favorite playyard. Later on today all our dogs get to choose their own Christmas toy, enjoy a kong and some extra yummies in their dinner! Stay tuned and Happy Holidays to all!

Here is Harvest, he scored a foster home and enjoys playtime with HSIMC Alumni Oso! Oso was once a small puppy in our foster program and he knows the importance of giving our puppies lots of love and structure during this important time of their lives. Oso and his mama Robin are hosting our little friend Harvest for the holidays and he couldn’t be learning from a better family!
Harvest will be back onsite after the holidays when we open Sat-Sun, 11-3!

GOOD MORNING PUPPIES!!! 😝🐶
It’s raining and messy and we would love some help. Puppies are a lot of work in a shelter setting, especially an outdoor shelter like ours. We work hard to keep them cozy but you can only imagine what 16 hours alone in a kennel over night looks like.
What do these babies need? The care only a home can provide! Fosters and adopters needed! We are open all weekend, rain or shine, from 11-3! Come visit us!

Wreath season is officially over! Tune in for an update from head elf in charge, Cindy, on how we did! As you can see, the wreath production might be over but the elves have not stopped being silly 🤪
This annual fundraiser is a lot of work, in just 19 days, over 320 volunteer hours from our HSIMC elves went in to make it a success! With their help we sold 144 wreaths and 36 swags! We appreciate everyone who supported us by buying a wreath or swag, donating items like greenery or bows and of course our hard working elves who work hard but always keep it fun. Cheers to Cindy and her crew for another successful year!
Fosters needed! Five puppies arriving tomorrow at 1 pm!
At the end of our day a community member arrived with 5 puppies. He found mom as a stray and she soon gave birth to 5 puppies who he has no ability to continue to care for. He is able to keep the mom and get her spayed.
Lucky for us and the puppies, he is able to hang on to them for one more night. Tomorrow we will shuffle our spots and make them cozy but we all know that puppies belong in homes!

If you know HSIMC then you know John! He has been helping us in every way you can imagine since 2018 and we are a better organization because of his never ending support. John has fostered countless dogs over the years and is a safe place to land for our most special pups. If you adopted a dog in the last 6 years there is a good chance that John loved them first.
John does it all, volunteers, fosters, transports and gives the best hugs when we need them. We know we can always count on him onsite and offsite! He may have tried to keep his bday a secret from us while onsite today but we think he deserves the recognition!
Thank you John for all you do, this world is a safer and kinder place for pets in need because you are in it! Now help us wish a Happy Birthday to one of the best people we know!
