Pack Walk for Monday at 6:45 p.m. in Baraboo and Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. in Reedsburg for this week. Starting next week, we will include 6:30 p.m. in La Valle on Tuesdays. We are running these times through fall. For your pack to add in its $45, if you have never worked with me, I will have a 2-hour boot camp on July 30th in Baraboo, which will be $100. The rate is this because of the types of issues I generally deal with, and once you have gone through this and have gotten the homework to practice and be prepared that I require, this will be a fast track of the tools you need to participate in the pack walks. I want dogs and their humans to have the proper tools to handle social interactions successfully and properly for the exposures that are to come in the future as they attend pack walk, which is ultimately a group exposure session to heal patterns dogs have created. If you feel better one-on-one, I still am taking on private training clients as well as helping existing clients. I'm going on year 5 in Wisconsin, year 15 as a certified professional canine trainer and behavior specialist, as well as prior socialization and resocialization training in a professional dog resort. I want to use what I have under my belt to help dogs in my community enjoy their humans!

Our first Pack Walk of the season was beautiful; we are bonding, socializing, and learning new ways to handle situations that arise naturally, and/or those I create. I am excited to encourage you to join us. A quick update: as per interest and flow with my personal life, being a single momma of 2 boys, I will be offering Pack Walk to 1 town per day in the evening. Mondays at 6:45 pm will be Baraboo Pack Walk; Tuesdays at 6:30 pm will be La Valle Pack Walk; and Wednesdays at 6:30 pm will be Reedsburg Pack Walk. Please contact me to sign up for established clients. If you are not a client, I will be offering a boot camp for understanding control words, positioning, and dog body language. (to be determined on dates and location) This will be a public group class. I just want everyone involved in Pack Walk to have the appropriate tools in their tool baskets, have the safety net of my business insurance, and understand what the heck the dog lady Stephanie Anspach is even talking about! Pack Walk is a group exposure session and is $45 per client. Dogs are at different stages in their healing journey, and as many of you know, I primarily work with dogs with anxiety and aggression issues. I also work with puppies and dogs into their senior years and everything in-between. I absolutely love helping dogs and their owners understand the behavioral patterns of their furry family members and strive to heal old patterns. One of my favorite jobs is definitely helping dogs in the same home learn to cohabitate in the same space. Believe it or not, this is the closest they have been to each other in a calm manner. Homework looks different for each client, but Tucker did amazing with the skills I gave him in his first two sessions, so his third session was to keep doing the stuff from the first two sessions, but also try to get out every night if possible and walk together, preferably parallel with each other, and do all the bonding exercises I taught them to build their pack skills and relationship with each other. Zara, a French Bulldog, is such a sweetheart and craves this interaction with her English Bulldog/French Bulldog brother!

Are any current clients interested in joining our first Walk of the season tomorrow, or any upcoming ones? We've decided to keep it simple: on Mondays and Wednesdays, we'll have walks in Reedsburg from 5pm to 6pm and in Baraboo from 6:45pm to 7:45pm throughout the summer. We're considering modifications for other options to beat the heat, such as having one town per evening walk day. We're thinking Baraboo, Reedsburg, and maybe Lavalle. Which town would you show up for?

Please pray for my old lady Shelby. We had bloodwork last Friday that showed she is in early kidney failure. Yesterday she started with very vibrant diarrhea. Last night she woke up frantically five times having to go. This morning I walked out to the spot she was going and found bright blood with the same vibrant color and odor as before. We are going into the vet in just under two hours to talk with one of the vets to see if more independent testing is necessary or what our next steps are. I know she's 15+ years old but got a clean bill of health from her physical exam last week. Her growths are not alarming to them.

Some clients worry about the dog interactions session, but honestly, I have been doing this for 14 plus years and have molded it into a perfect science. Dogs with little to no history close to other dogs, dogs that have been attacked, dogs that have learned bad habits from other dogs - you name it, I have helped guide them to be able to listen and connect with their human first, and then be able to be put into exposure therapy situations. Healing old negative responses is all about owners knowing how to support their pup through what ultimately is a panic attack. We have built trust with these furry friends, allowing them to trust in our guidance. Toward the end of this particular session with Tito, she lay down, an uncommon pattern for a walk, let alone being so relaxed around other dogs. Please share this beautiful revelation with someone you know who has lost hope.

Its hard to forget the dogs in the earlier years of my business. They created the lesson set ups that work for dogs like Ella , Cassy Helt and Athena, Anne Michelle just name a few at different stages. Dogs whom fear shut down seem impossible at times to heal but with dedication from awesome owners mean you have the tools to walk them through anything! I work with all types of anxiety and aggression problems. Its a journey and we take on this healing path as a tribe! This is a huge step for Lilly, having family dogs properly introduced and her listening to her awesome human guide her through the moral support side of things and overwrite her natural reactions. Some people ask me why I require dogs to have at least 2 sessions with me before Pack Walk, and it is simply to have options for power words placed together to guide the dog(s) in the correct patterns. I want all dogs to feel confident and comfortable enough to be in close range with other dogs and people but still be able to focus on the task at hand. In this situation, in particular, it was meeting dogs I personally have not worked with before and creating a safe understanding that no one was taking the others' space or controlling their resources (i.e., humans, food, attention, location). Lilly was very reactive to anyone coming into her home and space when I first had my initial evaluation; her newly adopted sister, whom with new situations is more timid, learns separately and then as a team to ensure she doesn't shut down.
