Our mission is to rescue abandoned and/or stray animals from situations that are endangering, restore health as needed and provide necessary veterinary care. Rescue animals in danger of being euthanized at area shelters/pounds, and administer proper training to prepare animal for adoption placement. We aim to educate the public and promote the importance of spaying/neutering & adoption and also to educate the public on how to prevent animal cruelty/neglect.

I really hope these commissioner’s will vote this through so we can proceed on this desperately needed facility 🙏🏽
For so long, animal control has tried to manage the overpopulation of stray animals. Controlling the spread of rabies by vaccinating animals and even find space to house animals.

Lost and possibly dumped dog at the Dairy Queen in Tivoli. It has on a collar but it has been there for two weeks. Hopefully it was not dumped but I was told it is looking for someone and has not left there like it’s waiting for someone to come back for it.

‼️AVAILABLE FOR IMMEDIATE ADOPTION‼️Everybody meet THOR a two year old rescue who has been waiting on his FUR-Ever Home since he came to us as a kitten in September 2021 out of Refugio. He is clearly a GORGEOUS boy who hasn’t had the best luck finding a new home! Thor is shy at first and may take a week or two to warm up to a new person, he loves toys and he loves his belly rubs*!! Thor would prefer a home indoors he’s been raised inside and without dogs as he’s never even met a dog before, but is very friendly with other cats. Thor is fully vetted and ready to go home with his new family. Pulled this sweet girl from Refugio animal control today and it looks like she was bred so many times that she developed some sort of tumor. That's just my guess but she will see the vet and we will know more about her condition. She also has a scar down her back and old marks on her neck from a collar that was either too tight or maybe she was just chained up. This girl has probably lived a pretty crappy life but I'm hoping that can change after she is seen by a vet and we can go from there. Help us name this sweetheart. She was called Lola while in animal controls care. If you would like to donate to her vet care it will be greatly appreciated.
