Good morning! I’ve been a bit out of practice when it comes to an actual rescue of an animal. But today I got a call from someone about a kitten stuck somewhere in a truck. They could hear the kitten crying but couldn’t find it so I rushed over, crawled under the truck , and found the 3 week old kitten. It had road 5 miles from Woodsboro to Refugio under the truck but it was not injured. The driver of the truck feeds several neighborhood cats and he knew exactly which momma cat it belonged to because she only had the one. I didn’t get a pic of the kitten but I’m just including this one of my dirty hands. I loved the reminder that I need to not be afraid of getting my hands dirty every now and then to help someone out. The driver was so grateful and took the kitten home to reunite it with its mother. I hope you all have a fantastic day! 😸

I really hope these commissioner’s will vote this through so we can proceed on this desperately needed facility 🙏🏽

For so long, animal control has tried to manage the overpopulation of stray animals. Controlling the spread of rabies by vaccinating animals and even find space to house animals.
