The Dirty Dog Grooming Salon is a full service grooming facility, specializing in pet grooming for all breeds of dogs. This basically means that we offer breed specific clips in modified form for the everyday pet owner to maintain. We are experienced with all haircuts, from the low riding scottie dogs to the long elegant standard poodle, to the exotic bedlington terrier, and all mixed breeds, "pup
py cuts", etc. (In short, we are skilled in a variety of areas!)
The current owner has been working in the grooming industry for 13 years, and actually began at this very shop for the previous owner when she was in high school. She worked here for a little over 5 years and decided to try her hand in the veterinary world as an assistant, which was very short lived. After only a few months assisting at a local animal hospital she quickly realized that her home was in a grooming salon, allowing her to combine her creative and artistic side with her genuine love of animals. She combined a "distance learning program," JKL Academy, with an employment at another local grooming salon to complete her degree in all breed dog grooming. After growing and blossoming at this salon for a couple more years, she got back in touch with the then-owner of the Dirty Dog. Cari Bennett is my name, and this is my salon. My heart has been here for a number of years and I am so happy to be able to call it my own now. I give thanks to everyone who helped me attain this goal of owning my own salon, from Kelly who owned it previously (and taught me ALMOST everything I know!), to Mitch and Greg who allowed me to come into my own under their watch at the Wizard of Paws, to (perhaps most importantly) my parents who helped me secure the finances to make my dream come true. My fiancΓ© and I are the proud parents of 3 fur babies- one (oversized) husky, Bella, and two DSH cats, one black and one tabby, Cole and Chase (respectively). I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl over the summer, so as life settles back down to something resembling normal, I am hugely looking forward to reaching out and making the Dirty Dog and active part of the community!
