AM - 'Skills needed for UKI courses'
Practice some of the skills needed for this new and fast growing organization. We will break down some of the obstacle training and handling skills that will ensure UKI success in this workshop: weave skills, independent backsides, threadle wrap, and threadle slice are a few of the things we may cover. Dogs should be comfortable with all equipment and be able to sequence full courses (competition ready or currently competing).
PM - 'Practice skills on UKI style courses!'
Putting it into Practice! Incorporating the Skills we worked on in the morning session into UKI courses. The afternoon will be spent handling UKI style courses with challenges ‘in flow’. The morning session is not a prerequisite to attend this workshop, but dogs should know all equipment and be competition ready or already competing.
Anne has trained and competed in agility with 6 dogs over the last 20 years Anne's dog Super G has enjoyed National and International level success over the past few years as a member of the 2017 IFCS World Team, 2017 and 2018 European Open team, and winning the last ever 26” USDAA Steeplechase National Championship in 2016. Anne’s youngest dog, 4-year-old Zero G, a Super G daughter, has enjoyed several trips to the podiums of ISC, Premier and UKI National and International Cups, Premier Cups, and USDAA Regional Championships. Anne is a multi-finalist in USDAA Grand Prix and Steeplechase National Finals with 3 different dogs since 1998, as well as a Finalist in the UKI US Open National Championship in 2016. Anne is an enthusiastic instructor and is adept at fine tuning the top level teams as well as novice dogs and/or handlers just beginning their agility training. Anne’s style is motivational and fun; she uses positive, clear training and handling explanations, using techniques that work best for dogs of any size or breed. Anne's goal is for handlers to learn new skills, understand the: ‘why did my dog do that?’ and have fun while doing it!
