Thank God there's still mom n pops operations
In our time of need after Jo allmost died & had to have operations & will be in rehab for months & me with already in terrible condition ls before Jos wreck
Only help we got were from the small & mom n pops operations
We got zero help from the big operations even tho are farm is mostly for retirement standardbreds
The big breeders & racing operations had nothing but insults for us what has become of our ounce great industry it's been turned into a puppy mill with only the rich stealing from everybody & patting each other on the back

Been crazy year
But a corona year at the farm has been nice. Not sure what's 2021 holds might retire & just breed a few baby's for sale ring & just raise our sheep the racing game just isn't the seem as years gone by & life is short so make it sweet

Racing season starting soon but with the Corona not sure when will pull into Vernon were allways there April 1st but might wait a month to see where all this is going thinking about just working Blue Moon stable this year if we do wait & not working other stable while running small stable of our own hopefully will be able to pick up couple of outside trainers & Peter kleinhans send a few starters but you know me when I start my racing season I don't leave that track for 8 months I gotta be with my charges 24-7 I'm old school learned from Doug Ackerman you never know when your horse is gonna need you & I believe the horses are happier when they see you thru out the day not just at training time or feed they never know when it might be there turn to grass or to just listen to the radio as I pick there stalls out late at night usually with a treat it's old school but nothing like the old ways everybody stay strong thru this Corona stuff Horsemen are tuff we get up no matter how busted or how sick we are for our horses they can't feed themselfs this makes us resilient good luck to every one this racing season

Haven't posted in awhile was decent season won about 17 races with the horses under my care not bad considering the stock & every time I do win a few with a horse they get retired or sent to breeding farm & I'd have to start all over with new project horse. First year in about 20 I didn't have a nice stakes horse but the scrubs I got challenged me as a horse man & they did well. Was a shorter year than normal by about four weeks so missed out on money & got busted up a bit breaking a baby my 2 ND to last day. Just gotta feed a few & move my horse for about another week then it's home bound to the farm and some much needed R&R then start getting it ready for winter as I winter there the next 4 months. gonna upgrade the other live stock because horses just isn't cutting it it doesn't in no way keep pace with ever growing cost of living & there's so many gips any more a good hard working horseman isn't appreciated like they used to be gonna still do horses simply because I'm good at it & love it but sheep pigs & other live stock are a surer thing in an ever growing cost of living .

We go. Back to Vernon April 1st put in stable roster on the 15th checked out barns not alot of snow at Vernon. But we still have 3 ft at farm can't wait for season to begin

Been away for awhile it's been a ruff winter I got deathly sick for a month basically bed ridden. We had a few good storms but had been. A pretty kind winter. Gotta make plans for racing season I love working with Gates & having 1 or 2 on the side. But there's been talk of getting 3 new ones for Pete & Alan Charles to drive during summer if I add my 3 I got a regular racing stable we would have to hire a good goom .it's basically the seem every year I can't do a 50-50 split on horses & it's a must to have at least 3 paying horses we charge an reasonable 45$ a day but there's just not that many owners as there used to be & desperate trainers will make I'll advise deals to put horses in there barn.why I'm pretty happy with Gates he gives me good safe horses we work professionally get the job done right & he let's me mess with a few of my own never giving me a hard time about it. So here's looking forward to a new season good luck come what may

very happy with the Trotter Toss Cartwright raced huge tonight at vernon locked in with a ton of trot finnish 2nd beaten by a head if he shakes lose he wins by 5 tky J.Mac great drive
